Like this particular line: "I am going to fix this, just trust me," then the next day, what he did hurt her. Their Mother treats Aveena like Ashley's personal 'gofer', chauffeur, assistant and general dogsbody, instead of her daughter. When her debut gathered 31,000,000 reads on the platform, she decided to self-publish the trilogy that set so many hearts, including hers, on fire. Xavier is a male character who is initially a typical arrogant athlete only interested in the fame that accompanies him throughout high school. They connected on a much deeper level by sharing their innermost thoughts and deepest confessions, a level that they likely wouldn’t have reached they just started talking at a high school kegger.

I picked this up because of a Booktok video I saw, and while there was some stuff I enjoyed (the romance was cute, and the premise was fun), it ended up not being for me. If you are looking for an angsty page turner - a painful but beautiful love story with a magical ending, PICK THIS UP. Through her relationship with Xavier, she really comes into her own, and they see the best in one another. It has all the drama, too many problems, too many obstacles in their romance, I didn't know how frustrated I was until I almost throw my kindle away and yelled "Come on! She was willing to lose everything to protect the man she loved even if it meant she might never truly get to keep him.

Vee is a loner, who has her one best friend by her side while being the wallflower that everyone ignores. Sometimes, it could be a little cheesy and a tad bit predictable, but I couldn’t get enough of the storyline and the characters. Can we, maybe, inject a bit of realism in YA romances: you have to study SOMETIME if you want to maintain your college scholarship, right? Kritikpunkte kann ich verstehen, für mich kam das Buch einfach zur perfekten Zeit - ich habe es mit allen Ecken und Kanten geliebt: Die Charaktere, die Dramatik, den fesselnden Schreibstil der Autorin! Few chapters in and the drama started to pile up, characters started to blend into each other and I started to lose my attention just because things just didn’t seem to make sense anymore.

ehh idk, even tho i’m glad he owned up to it in the end, i wanted to see him grovel towards Aveena more 🥺. I love a good “pen pals” romance and while this one doesn’t span time and oceans it's fun to “watch” them begin to fall for one another through letters ESPECIALLY because they didn’t care for each other in the beginning. But then when some stupid girl threatens Xav, he acts like a fucking coward and complies with what she says?

If you haven’t read DEAR LOVE, I HATE YOU get your copy below and if you have read it let me know your thoughts. In the midst of hating his life, he finds the letter and begins daring Vee to give more confessions. The chemistry just flows from the pages and at the heart of this book is a believability that only comes from great writing. Eliah truly has an original writing style and her sense of writing an interesting plot filled with a lot of drama, but also funny and steamy moments is incredible.

At first she is enraged that someone had the balls to not only reply to a letter than wasn’t meant to be seen but to correct her spelling and give her a few unwanted facts. Their connection was deep and heartfelt, and I enjoyed the way in which Greenwood develops their romance.I cried so much while reading this, and I can honestly say this is one of my favorite books of all time. DHIHY is a new adult romance with mature themes that is the second book in the Easton Boys series and part one of a duet. it was originally five stars for me, but something happened at the 74% mark that had me lower my rating just a bit. Veedecides to drink for the first time, when Brie brings up Vee’s father, she punches her while Xav was standing there like a pathetic asshat. Dear Love I hate you" ist dramatisch, überspitzt und beinhaltet ein paar Klischees, aber in meinem subjektiven Leseerlebnis spielte das keine Rolle, denn ich war IM SUCHTMODUS🤯!

Our heroine is the quiet, not so social, invisible wallflower, she's counting on getting that scholarship, it's her only way out of town and away from her mother and sister who made it big when she was younger. As Eliah is the new author to me, it can be said that I entered this book completely blindly without any expectations about her writing style and the way she creates the plot. They also agreed to keep their identities until Vee accidentally finds out that she’s been corresponding and texting Xavier Emery. I mean for the devil's sake, people literally said to Aveena, the fucking female lead, that it was probably her fault that her dad UNALIVED himself.
