About this deal

I much rather had a product without the alcohol, but so far I have found nothing similar to replace it.

A helper ingredient that helps to neutralize the metal ions in the formula (they usually come from water) so it stays nice longer. But according to a comparative study done in 1995, citric acid has less skin improving magic properties than glycolic or lactic acid.

The advantage of being synthetic is that it has a more consistent quality, fewer impurities and an even lower heavy metal content than Mica (not that Mica's heavy metal content is high). Our 100% vegan concentrate is enriched with edelweiss plant stem cells, known to possess renowned renewal properties. The Youth Cream, despite its name, isn't a traditional cream in the sense that it isn't heavy or thick or oily. Hysterical bitch fit aside, I know that the cause of millia seed is an overly-rich eye cream, which was probably caused by my over-enthusiastic application of cream in my youth. It's still quite thin though - unlike a typical gel product, you can't really dab this on with your finger. The eye serum doesn’t take long to be absorbed, and also leaves no residual feeling (not sticky, not oily, not greasy). Once I’d worked that out I applied the formula in a sideways figure of 8 shape around the contours of my eyes, patting the area just lightly to help in any excess formula absorb into the skin. Partial to all things that tingle and foam, face masks, martinis (extra dry, up, with a twist), this male beauty blogger thirsts for the latest and greatest, but is persuaded only by "what works. Even without keeping it in the fridge, I find that the product remains cool so that on application it feels hydrating and calms any possible puffiness.

But, with the fairly high amount of humectants, this will give a decent moisturizing effect - provided you're not sensitive to alcohol. With its pipette applicator, slightly gloopy texture and excellent slip across the skin (a tiny drop goes a long way), it has the application experience of a far more expensive serum. Some people may have concerns about the alcohol in the product, but I'm guessing it's present in there to aid penetration of the lotion, as well as any subsequent skincare products. This light, non-greasy, fast-absorbing formula also forms an invisible layer over your skin to help protect it from indoor and outdoor pollution (perfect for all you city types), which can lead to dehydration, dullness and premature skin ageing.Since Salicylic Acid is more effective at exfoliating at lower pHs (a pH of 4 and below is optimal), chances are, you won't get huge exfoliating effect from this, and any exfoliating effect will be very, very gradual and over time. Whether it is the product itself or the metal applicator that is responsible for the cooling feeling, I don’t know, but the way the product comes out when you press the pump is what gets me excited. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. As with all the products in the Drops of Youth range we've seen so far, the alcohol content can certainly be a concern for those who prefer alcohol-free products, or have particularly dry or sensitive skin, but may be fine for other people.
