About this deal

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Shouldn't be too hard as the wall to the garage itself is a stud with MDF inside, OSB outside and a great big chunk of Cellotex in the middle. The 4" x 4m hose enables connection from the inside of the wall vent to your appliance and is bundled with a 5" to 4" reducer and 6" to 4" reducer to ensure a secure fit to your 5" or 6" air conditioner vent hose outlet if needed. They are easier to seal than swinging doors as their opening is easy to cover, and so kits to set this up are readily available. If your airconditioner didn't come with all those bits I'm sure that something suitable would be available either from the manufacturer or a builder's merchant.

Should your product(s) arrive damaged by the carrier or faulty, we will either issue a replacement or refund your item(s) free of charge for you. I've just bought a portable air con unit (Igenix IG9900) and currently am putting the extension hose out the window. I’m hoping to find they make some kind of cover that can be jammed on when these things are not in use. Has anyone done this and presumably there is some way of closing the vent in winter, Also how much did it cost ?About: Passionate of DIY of any kind, I am not of the trade (I am developer in computing) but I am self-taught and I like to learn new things. The main obstacle to overcome when venting through a wall is creating a hole to connect your hose to the outside air so hot air can be expelled from the building.

Most external AC vents feature flaps or covers to prevent items from entering the vent and blocking it, as well as reducing excess loss of heat. If you come across this problem, your best option is to invest in a longer one which fits your machine or to choose another location for your unit.

You must use a roof window caulking kit (Velux) which is neither aesthetic nor practical to install. Unless the air can move from the inside out, you will not feel the benefit of your portable AC unit. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

The kit m anufactured from corrosion resistant galvanised or zinc coated steel painted with a non organic fused oven baked finish in the recognised Simplis Red.My husband made the hole in the brick wall so can’t help with the cost of that, but it is great - in other rooms we have to fashion a way to cover the gap where the hose pokes through. If you need to easily remove hot air or gases from extractor fans, air conditioning, or tumble dryers, you need a ducting kit. I’ve been thinking of getting a vent put in the wall for it, however I’m a bit worried about this in the winter!

Its a big hole that you need to bore, and you will be able to hire the hole saw and an impact drill heavy enough to cope from a local hire centre. Understanding how your portable air conditioning unit works and how to set it up can vastly improve its effectiveness, saving you money on energy and regulating the temperature of your building. As sliding doors usually lead to the outdoors, they are very similar to windows and therefore make excellent options for ventilation. However, this is not always possible, especially if you want to use your AC in parts of your building that do not have a window to use. Portable air conditioning units are a great option for supplementing existing air conditioning systems within your home or workspace in the short term.

Natural or passive products rely on natural airflow patterns or work in conjunction with mechanical ventilators to provide clean and fresh air.
