About this deal
Black Friday falls on 24 November and Cyber Monday follows on 27 November, but we've already seen deals on a range of tried-and-tested products. Consisting simply of two dials for setting the temperature and cooking time, the controls are very basic but pleasingly intuitive. There are five presets for food (chicken, fries, bacon, steak, veggies), plus keep warm and preheat settings.
Chips for two people were evenly browned using the preset having been pre-tossed in 1 tbsp of oil, although they were not super crisp. Some models also have a function that allows you to toast and bake food, making them more like conventional ovens. Unlike other models featured in this round-up, there aren’t any pre-set options, so you will have to think a little bit more about how to cook each meal before just pressing go, but our tester still found this incredibly easy.
For a healthy alternative to deep-fat fryers without losing the great taste, explore our air fryers range from our home electricals. For those who already have one, we don’t need to convert you to this cooking machine, and for anyone still sitting on the fence, let us fill you in on why they’re so popular.
One thing we didn’t realise until testing this air fryer was just how many models are set with silver.
Prepare a wide range of meals, from crispy fish fillets to succulent roasted vegetables, all while enjoying the benefits of healthy and oil-free cooking. In comparison to deep-fat frying, air-frying is a healthier alternative – using convection cooking rather than oil means there's less fat in the finished food, which in turn means fewer calories. Using this air fryer instead of your oven is an effective way to cut costs, allowing you to pay less on your monthly bills while still enjoying delicious and healthy food. With most entry-level models costing twice as much, there’s absolutely no arguing with the fact Asda’s air fryer offers brilliant value for money.
