About this deal

If you don’t want to buy a new grinder there are a couple of things you could try with what you have. First thing to keep in mind is that you’ll get a finer grind and more vapor if your herb is fully dried out with very little moisture left in it. After you initially grind your material you can try spreading it out on a sheet of paper for a short while to dry even more, then you can try vaping as-is or re-grinding again to break it down a little more. The original had just 1 hour of battery life but it also only took 1 hour to fully recharge. I personally charge all my vapes after every session or two under normal circumstances, so I kind of valued the short charge time of the original more than the longer life of the new one. However, this is really personal preference, 2-3 hours is really not an extremely long charge time, it’s pretty average. What you want to do is bend up the edges of the screen so that it creates somewhat of a U shape – you can try bending it around a pencil to keep the curve uniform. Then, depending on the size of the screen you use, you’ll probably need to trim off the edges so that it will fit inside the oven properly, which you should be able to do easily with scissors.

To quote their CMO “We redesigned the PAX 2 to have both the lip-sensing, and a new heating algorithm that adjusts temperature dynamically based on how you use it. We also focused the temp algorithm on the materials themselves, rather than the oven temp, to make sure the draw was consistent from first to last.” The oven in the new PAX 2 is a tiny bit smaller but it’s also slightly deeper. They designed the new one this way to maximize the surface area of material being heated which helps it perform a little better. This is when things get a bit interesting. You can’t change the maximum Ramp temperature that’s in Efficiency Mode. But there are two ways to change the actual starting temperature. One is to change the starting Ramp temperature inside the app. Use this method if you want to set your initially preferred starting Ramp temperature. But it took me some times to get there, and like many others that I could read about, I had to do it a couple of times to get a hang of it. Did anyone else notice similar issues with their Pax 2 as far as the odor/smell? Any suggestions on how to mitigate it?In less than 60 seconds the petals will turn solid green to indicate the PAX 2 has reached the desired temperature and it’s ready for you to take draws. To change the PAX 2 temperature setting, press down on the mouthpiece for a couple seconds and the unit will enter ‘temperature mode’. This is not an issue faced with other better designed heating chambers like the Solo 2 vaporizers, which we found to have excellent air flow and minimal draw resistance. In addition, because the temperature is partially determined on your draw speed and frequency, the quality of the draws are inconsistent. It does come with a decent-sized bottle of ISO and some high-quality pipe cleaners that clean the vapor path. Just dip them in iso and clean the vapor path and you’re done. Very minimal compared to the older model.

This is the PAX 2 on the far left and both shiny vapes on the right are the PAX 3, and everything I’m about to show you applies to both models. Party Mode: This is the mode that is on when I vape my PAX 2. As I vape the LEDs switch between colors Pax 2 Temperature Settings– The four different Pax 2 temperatures are set at 360/380/400/420 Fahrenheit or roughly 180/193/204/215 celsius. When buildup starts to accumulate inside the vape that also can affect airflow so definitely keep it clean for best results.
