It’s not revolutionary, of course, as it follows the same wrestling game staple of “build momentum, hit finisher, win”, but there’s some interesting nuances that keep things somewhat interesting. Sadly, it is looking unlikely AEW will put out a second game to right these wrongs, which is a shame as there were some diamonds in the rough that could have been polished up into something special.
