The Clio Kill Cover All New Cushion is much more suited to my preferences! The texture is indeed very fine, and lightweight. This is definitely a cushion that I will love to use when we’re at the peak of summer in Dubai, with the heat and humidity. It will be perfect! It has a few minor flaws (it emphasizes dry skin a bit) but nothing dramatic. It’s really a good cushion for those who like matte finishes! In my ultimate guide to Korean cushion foundations, I didn’t really tell you why I loved cushions so much. The long wearing nature of this product is one of it’s best qualities. It lasts easily throughout the day (or night) without top up, and without flaking. It only begins to fade and show my skin’s redness after a commute, 5 hour teaching day, and commute home- so roughly 7 hours in total. Even then, it’s not a total mess, and only faded in areas I frequently touch, such as my chin. Because it doesn’t cake and flake, re-application is easy and gives the same finish as the initial application. My skin usually doesn’t work too well with ‘long wear’ products, as they tend to clash with my more dry patches. Surprisingly this seems to keep my face moisturised enough throughout the day to avoid the flaking, whilst still maintaining the coverage and finish. It mattifies well and for a long time, without drying the skin out. There’s a bit of shine at the end of the day, but nothing crazy.

It does not oxidize and does not darken throughout wear. Also, It has SPF 50+ PA+++ that protects the skin from harmful UV rays and premature aging, making it ideal for wearing all day every day. Simply press into the cushion getting product on it and gently dab and blend all over the face. My shade: #4 Beige (according to their description, I should have gotten Petal, but it looked pretty pink).The finish is more silky matte than I expected, but of course still gives a bright yet subtle Korean-style glow. Being more matte than my usual choices makes it a perfect option for the days (and evenings in particular) when I want a ‘foundation’ finish, compared to the dewier (is that even a word?!) look of my BB creams/cushions. I appreciate having a different type of product in my stash. I can, as always, only comment on my own results with my normal/combination skin type. I also think my idea of ‘matte’ is pretty skewed. I’ve been using Korean products for over two years and matte doesn’t really exist. Therefore in Korean terms, this is a matte product, in global terms, I’d say a semi-matte product.

You can feel it a little more on the skin than other cushions, but overall, it’s still pretty lightweight and comfortable to wear for a cushion with a high coverage finish. I like it if it has a moisturizing effect (most of the good cushions have one), or even a soothing effect (not the most common, but you can find some). In summer, however, I like a more mattifying effect, which helps me control my shiny T-Zone. Iridescent purple with the brand name, flashy! Plus, it’s magnetic. Hera is a luxury brand, pretty trendy and you can definitely feel it! (yes, it’s exactly the same as the previous one 😉 )For a small price cushion, its quite good! The finish is pretty, the texture fine, and it’s lightweight. Okay, the staying power isn’t the best of all the cushions I’ve tried but it’s still fine. The brand talks about a slightly satin finish, but for me, it’s more of a semi-matte one. It’s natural, very pretty. This one is the original edition that I bought when it was released in 2019, the last time I was in Korea (it had just launched, they were doing huge ads everywhere!). It’s a rose gold mirror effect cushion with the brand name that has a multi-colored chrome effect. It’s gorgeous! (they made a limited edition a few months later, ultra shiny mirror effect which was gorgeous, but I resisted and I regret a bit lol)
