Au moins, on ne s'ennuie pas. Le roman se lit d'une traite, tant c'est palpitant ! Il y a pas mal d'imprévus et de rebondissements, mais l'intrigue aurait encore pu prendre du galon en osant aller plus loin sur certains points.

dit is het eerste deel in de vampyria-serie. omdat ik bij uitgeverij luitingh-sijthoff werk, las ik dit boek al in mei! en het is echt zo totaal anders dan andere boeken met vampieren. Però non credo che lo stile potesse essere così diverso in origine. Per quanto questo fosse uno YA, non è che scrivere un romanzo per ragazzi voglia dire prendere una trama per adulti e banalizzarla, riducendo ogni scena a una farsa splatter. Jeanne est assez attachante dans sa volonté de venger sa famille. You go girl ! Les personnages secondaires sont tout aussi intrigants. Les personnages sont peut-être un peu fades et ne réservent pas de grosse surprise en comparaison du reste. Ou disons qu'on se retrouve avec un casting “dans la norme” - ce n'est pas bien grave non plus. Car j'ai franchement beaucoup, BEAUCOUP aimé ce début de série (qui promet encore de sacrés tours de passe-passe) !

Me pareció interesante la construcción del mundo, en el siglo XVIII el Rey Sol no quería morir y pasó por una transmutación que le dio la vida eterna convirtiéndolo en el primer vampiyo. Desde entonces, la nobleza más fiel a él se ganó ese mismo derecho y se crearon las castas, en las que los vampyros estaban en la cima y todos los plebeyos debían de pagar un diezmo de sangre. Para ser un tema tan recurrente como los vampiros, encontré que esta nueva versión ambientada en la corte francesa del sXVIII fue interesante. Tiene escenas CRUENTAS pero eso es lo que más he disfrutado, cómo me ha calado, he sufrido lo mismo que la protagonista, sus pesares, angustias y tristezas. Y además esta protagonista es estupenda os lo prometo, qué buena evolución. La vemos desenvolverse en un mundo que no es el suyo como lo haríamos todos: MAL, pero mejora!! Y vaya si mejora... o eso o la muerte!

Maybe too much exclamation sentences to my taste... Some descriptions were nice though. I did not hate the book, I just think that I am probably not the right audience for this kind of story anymore.
