About this deal

At the time of this writing, Igloo has 3 different models of their BMX Ice Chest to choose from: The BMX 25QT, BMX 52QT, and BMX 72QT. These sizes hit the normal optimal size ranges that we see most people request. A really interesting comparison can be made when looking at Yeti’s Tundra series coolers and the Igloo BMX Coolers. Both are essentially targeting similar demographics, but they take a very different approaches in doing so. That said, another option would be the Igloo's own store, which is actually pretty good. The BMX series is available right here.

But if you are more budget-minded and just after the good performance without breaking the bank, then we have to give a slight nod to Igloo. Igloo also knows what they are doing when it comes to making coolers and they have impressed us with their BMX Coolers. Igloo BMX Cooler Review The Igloo BMX 52 Quart Cooler is the perfect cooling companion for your next outdoor adventure. Rubberized T-grip latches keep lid secure, and a threaded drain plug is garden hose compatible and features a non-slip, easy-grip stainless steel tethered cap. Cool Riser Technology molded base elevates the cooler away from hot surfaces and improves cooling performance. Read Review The ACOPOWER LiONCooler Portable Freezer 52 Quarts is the ultimate solution for getting all your drinks, fruits, and meats cool on the go. When you need to take some things out of a fridge or freezer, this mini cooler will cool them down in minutes with its powerful 12 volt compressor. This portable refrigerator can be powered by an optional AC adapter that plugs into any standard wall outlet or with a 12 volt battery. Read Review The Igloo BMX 52 is a great value model when compared to more generic-looking coolers of this size and it should definitely be one that you add to your cooler shopping list. This option is able to keep food and drinks cold for up to 4 days, thanks to a foam similar to that used by Igloo, and it comes with a leak-resistant design and an exterior that can handle the worst of weather conditions.kept all our drinks and chilled food cold for the three days we were away, would have kept longer if needed but we had used it up, so much better than our old 12v coolbox That shouldn't be a problem with the BMX series, as these ice chests guarantee that your items will stay in prime consuming condition for 2 to 5 days, depending on which size we're talking about. The larger the cooler, the longer it can keep ice frozen. Design is very different between the two brands, as Yeti relies on the traditional rotomolded construction that is included in the biggest names, while Igloo for its BMX series uses something called a blow-molded construction, which is less expensive and less complex to make. Though it seems a bit unfair to put this rookie toe-to-toe with the most popular cooler brand out there right now, the BMX series has durability and usage that share similarities to Yeti and have earned a comparison. With four tie-down points and a molded fish measuring ruler, as well as class-leading performance and durable construction, the Igloo BMX 25 cool box is a great compact solution for angling and fishing trips. Igloo BMX 25 Heavy Duty Cool Box Features

One of the features that make Igloo BMX Coolers stand out from the competition is their Cooler Riser Technology. We don’t know exactly how much this feature assists in prolonging ice life but it certainly doesn’t hurt. However, in the case of the BMX cooler, Igloo did a lot to ensure that the cooler will be able to blow off anything that nature throws at it. As we mentioned before, size offerings are where we see great differences between these two brands, which affects the situations where they can be useful. The BMX 25, 52 and 72 are similar to Yeti’s Roadie and some of Tundra series, which are the latter’s smaller offerings. Some of the features that are a little more unique include a fish scale on the lid of the cooler and what Igloo calls their “blow-molded” construction. We suspect that this is just a fancy name for roto molding but we must admit that the name did catch our attention. Just taken my new Igloo BMX25 on a 5 day camping trip. I bought it after plenty of research online, I'm very, very pleased with it.When you plan on buying a cooler, the first feature you look for is the number of days it will keep things cool inside. In terms of ice retention, Igloo BMX 52 Quart Cooler is far ahead of the competing Yeti and RTIC coolers. The bigger surface, the more ice it retains. Very few cooler brands are able to save you money, be easy to use and perform for just about any situation at the same time, and that makes Igloo’s BMX Cooler series a priority if that’s what you’re looking for. These coolers are small enough so that you can carry them on your own, cheap enough for you to save money for other things that you want to do at your get-togethers, and useful for tailgating, camping, birthday parties, and other occasions. Features: Blow-molded construction, T-latches, Stainless steel hardware, Swing-up handles, Threaded drain plug, Skid pads, Fish ruler, Tie-down points, Cool Riser Technology
