Strong's 3936: Or prolonged paristano from para and histemi; to stand beside, i.e. to exhibit, proffer, recommend, substantiate; or to be at hand, aid. dost thou think that I am not able now to call upon my Father, and He will place beside me more than twelve legions of messengers? Vampires Kiss features a family of bounty hunters under the business name Pandora's Box. In this fantasy, there are gods, angels, witches, vampires, werewolves and humans. A humans are born with an some type of magical affinity but they are able to become angels if they go through this legion academy and reach level 9. For context, most people die at level 1. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and He shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew26:53). Jesus didn’t need Peter’s little sword that night. Had He chosen to do so, Jesus could have summoned 72,000 magnificent, mighty, dazzling, glorious, overwhelmingly powerful angels to the Garden to obliterate the Roman soldiers and the temple police who had come to arrest Him. In fact, the combined strength in twelve legions of angels could have wiped out the entire human race! But Jesus didn’t call on the supernatural help that was available to Him. Why? Because He knew it was time for Him to voluntarily lay down His life for the sin of the human race. As you face your own challenges in life, always keep in mind that Jesus has the power to fix any problem you’ll ever come across. Before you jump in and make things worse by taking matters into your own hands, remember the story of Peter! The next time you’re tempted to “grab a sword and start swinging,” take a few minutes to remind yourself that Jesus can handle the problem without your intervention. Before you do anything else, pray and ask the Lord what you are supposed to do. Then after you receive your answer and follow His instructions, just watch His supernatural power swing into action to solve the dilemma you are facing!

Thrones

Some people say that it was not God’s plan for Jesus to go to the cross, or that Jesus wanted to escape the cross. If either were true, mankind would have been obliterated by a mighty angelic army before Jesus ever reached Golgotha. All of this was God’s plan. Jesus willingly carried out His part. Now we have hope of salvation if we faithfully obey Him. a legion, a body of soldiers whose number differed at different times, and in the time of Augustus seems to have consisted of 6826 men (i.e. 6100 foot soldiers, and 726 horsemen)" Or do you suppose I cannot entreat my Father and He would instantly send to my help more than twelve legions of angels? In IChronicles 27:1–15, David assembled twelve “courses” (i.e., legions) of fighting men to protect him at all times. Each of those “legions” would serve him one month out of the year when the nation was at peace, but presumably all would have reported for duty in time of war. Since each contained 24,000 warriors, they combined to form an immense personal army of bodyguards numbering 288,000. Don't you think that I could call on my Father to send more than twelve legions of angels to help me now?

Of special significance is St. Michael as he has been invoked as patron and protector by the Church from the time of the Apostles. The Eastern Rite and many others place him over all the angels, as Prince of the Seraphim. He is described as the "chief of princes" and as the leader of the forces of heaven in their triumph over Satan and his followers. The angel Gabriel first appeared in the Old Testament in the prophesies of Daniel, he announced the prophecy of 70 weeks (Dn 9:21-27). He appeared to Zechariah to announce the birth of St. John the Baptist (Lk 1:11). It was also Gabriel which proclaimed the Annunciation of Mary to be the mother of our Lord and Saviour. (Lk 1:26) The angel Raphael first appeared in the book of Tobit (Tobias)Tb 3:25, 5:5-28, 6-12). He announces "I am the Angel Raphael, one of the seven who stand before the throne of God." (Tb 12:15) Principalities Do you think that I cannot call upon my Father and he will not provide me at this moment with more than twelve legions of angels?

I generally don't like covers showing girls in some heroic poses (with minimum clothing) all blonde and beautiful...but this cover attracted attention because it came up as kindle-unlimited recommendations and I thought what I have got to lose? Finally, let’s look at our third question: What would be the combined strength in this number of angels? Angels are powerful! In fact, Isaiah 37:36 records that a single angel obliterated 185,000 men in one night. So if a single angel had that kind of power, how much combined strength would there be in twelve legions of angels? Their is a little love triangle in Vampire’s Kiss. Two men take an interest in Leda and they approach her in different ways. Leda dose make decisions that lead one or the other on and with that it bumped my liking of her down a notch. I’m not a fan of love triangles, but I will say by the ending things are leaning more towards one. A Roman legion can range from 5000 to 6000 soldiers, plus support staff and camp followers. In one sense, Jesus was declaring he could ask the Father for help, and the Father would send up to 72,000 angels to defend him. In another sense, Jesus’ use of 12 can be viewed as symbolic. Biblically, twelve symbolizes God’s government. The entire host of Heaven was awaiting God’s command to rescue their Lord.

Jesus had some goals to accomplish when he left the Heaven to come to Planet Earth as a human. And he accomplished all of them. The Cross was a success. But Leda soon finds herself on the wrong side of a conspiracy that will shake up the supernatural world—and at the mercy of a fiercely powerful and tempting angel. An amazing example of this is found in Mark 5:9, where the Bible tells us that the demon-possessed man of the Gadarenes had a legion of demons. That means this man had an infestation of at least 6,000 demons residing inside him!By contrast, Christ, David’s greater Son, had at His command “more than twelve legions of angels.” These were not mere soldiers, as those guarding David; these were angels. Let us consider the power of just one angel in the days of King Hezekiah. “And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses” (IIKings 19:35). Simple multiplications shows that 288,000 such angels could handle 53 billion soldiers! And Christ had access to more angels than that! This was the work of just one angel. One angel was able to kill 185,000 Assyrian soldiers overnight.
