About this deal

It's better in several ways too, no metal, the leather pad is a better shoulder cushion, and the slider mechanism is more akin to the pricey Artisan & Artist straps than Peak's... It can be slid along most of the strap so there's only one, Peak's dual sliders are more cumbersome and unless you adjust both you throw the padding off center. Even so, if it starts to give signs of breakage, Peak Design offer a lifetime guarantee on their products. Most of the time I use just one with my Sony A7iii , or both if I am using the bag to transport my Mavic Pro . The 10L when fully loaded is almost pushing it a bit in terms of size and weight, but I think its versatility more than makes up for it. Both versions are comfortable to wear. If you have a particularly small frame, perhaps the 10L could be a bit on the chunky end for you. For me, it’s just about the maximum size for a sling. 6L One thing that felt a bit missing to me was a bottle holder. To be fair, I’m not sure how Peak Design could have added one without compromising the aesthetics too much. Nevertheless, it doesn’t take away the fact that it doesn’t have a bottle holder, and I sometimes wish it had one. (Or some other area separated from my electronics gear.)

I looked at some ways to attach a bottle to the shoulder strap using a loop — and that will probably be my solution. There is also another way to add a bit of capacity for such items, which is to use the two attachment straps that enable you to attach some items to the bottom of the bag. I’ve found this useful for attaching a raincoat or large (e.g. 1 liter) water bottle when going on a hike. The Everyday Sling 6L is highly comfortable in part due to its smaller size and thus lower weight. I’ve worn the 6L for entire days without issue. Its comfort level is just perfect. I feel that the Everyday Sling is a perfect balance of all of the above. It’s not a bulky or an over padded build. It feels purposefully designed – and it fits that so wonderfully. Besides some extra space, the main difference here is that the 6L size has a tablet sleeve with a magnetic closure that will fit up to an 11’’ tablet. It has plenty of padding to keep your tablet safe. You could also throw a flat book or notebook in this space. And, if you have no need for the sleeve, it lays flat and stays out of your way. Durability & Testing You’ll easily be able to fit a mirrorless camera and 1-2 lenses, spare batteries, filters, and a variety of other smaller accessories in the Peak Design 5L Sling, despite it being only 5 litres in overall capacity. The 6L is made from the same ultra-strong water-resistant 100% recycled 400D double poly-coated and DWR-impregnated nylon canvas. If you take away nothing else from that sentence, you should note that the sling is durable and weather-resistant. Don’t take it on a high-speed underwater motorcycle chase, but your camera gear should be safe if you get caught in the rain. With an 14" laptop sleeve, the 10L Sling sets up perfectly as a minimalist everyday work bag. As a photo bag, it'll give you substantially more capacity than the 6L, while still feeling compact and streamlined. The only sling with a strap for roller bag luggage carry. Example camera carry The hardware is made fromanodised aluminium and stainless steel, the zippers are smooth and don’t ever snag. We’ve found that a purse-style of carry works the best—on your side, beneath an arm—probably because it has nowhere to slide. Peak Design Everyday Sling 6L V2 Tripod Carry Strength Rating: 200lb (This is the rating for the Dyneema-corded Anchor Link anchors. The 45mm seat belt webbing could probably lift up your car.)

All these organizational features make using the Sling a breeze. When using it primarily as a camera bag, I find it very easy to store accessories like batteries, and change batteries or lenses using one hand, with the bag acting as a temporary ‘desk’. The materials inside the bag are soft to touch and it feels padded enough to not have to worry about your gear inside. I attach the cord to a small key chain ring and since then the problem is gone. Attaching the plate to a tripod takes a little bit more care with the ring but is still possible. The Peak Design Everyday Sling 5L feels nicely balanced on my shoulder and its rigidity gives me a lot of confidence in opening it without spilling all of my gear on to the ground while walking. I’m a smaller framed guy, so often messenger and larger style sling bags (such as the Everyday Sling 10L version) can look and feel too bulky on me.I can fit my Sony A7iii with my Samyang 35mm f/1.4 lens , spare batteries, and an assortment of other little things I may need during that day. If you have one of the Peak Design Capture Clips, they can also be attached to the side of the bag easily as well – it’s great they’ve factored all of this together! Peak Design started as a photography gear brand, so you’ll definitely see this as the main use case. The Sling’s internal foldable walls are absolutely designed for storing lenses and other photography gear. The various carry styles do mean that even if your shoulder gets a bit sore after many hours of wearing, you can change things up and maintain good comfort. Internal organization
