About this deal

One of the actual film cars used with its flip wheel chassis in the bullfighting scenes now resides in Sydney, Australia. Another one was displayed in the Cars of the Stars Motor Museum until its closure in 2011. Since then, its location remains unknown. In Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo (1977), Jim is reunited with Herbie and enters the Trans-France Race with his mechanic friend, Wheely Applegate ( Don Knotts). Herbie soon falls in love with a sentient Lancia Scorpion named Giselle while Jim develops a relationship with her driver, Diane Darcy ( Julie Sommars). Herbie is also pursued by a pair of jewel thieves who have hidden the stolen Etoile de Joie diamond in his gas tank. After rescuing Diane and Giselle from a crash into a river, Jim drives Herbie to victory after overtaking their main rival on the roof of the Monaco tunnel. Herbie's appearance remained consistent throughout the first four film entries as well as the 1982 television series. There were only minor, subtle changes. The 1997 TV movie and Herbie: Fully Loaded featured major overhauls in his appearance, as there were different production crews working for Disney by this time. OUTATIME is timeless. (This is the name of the orchestra, which was directed by the film composer Alan Silvestri and The Outatime Orchestra)

More than 30 different Herbies were used during the shooting of this film, [7] and three original cars are known to be on display. There is one at the Volo Auto Museum [9] in Illinois and two other vehicles in California: one fully motorized version preserved at the Peterson Automotive Museum [10] and a “personality car” at the hobby store Electric Dreams. [11] Both California cars were used during the NASCAR racing segment of the film. Herbie Goes Bananas also featured the same later model door mirror as Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo. Herbie set a Guinness World Record as the first car to go through the Panama Canal during filming in 1979. His name is only mentioned three times in the film by the garage owner, apart from the two times he honks his horn at Paco trying to say his name when Paco couldn't understand what he was saying. Herbie used to make an appearance in the Lights, Motors, Action!: Extreme Stunt Show at Disney theme parks, but was later replaced by Lightning McQueen. ECTO-1 (from the Greek “Ektos” – outside). The Cadillac Miller-Meteor car with this number belonged to the four ghost hunters. The yellow mark has holes only at the bottom, as it was in the film. ECTO 88 – Parsifal’s Delorean Time Machine. This plaque was used in the 2011 sci-fi novel Ready Player One, which was later used in the film.

EAGLE 5, the Winnebago mobile home, in which Lone Star and Barf traveled to save Princess Vespa, was equipped with this sign. Herbie and the Love Bug movies are also among the films represented at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort.

BEATNGU is a license plate on a 1941 Creeper Chevy COE. The main character Darry sees him as BEATNGO, which can be decoded as Beat And GO. Throughout the film, Darry thinks that the decryption is exactly like that, but Patricia (clairvoyant) on the phone convinces him that he was wrong and the number is terrible (“I saw his car with a terrible number). Darry and the viewer ignore the last letter of the number. There is not the letter “O”, but the letter “U”! That is, the number is BEATNGU, which stands for a completely different – “Be eating you” –“You will be eaten by me” or simply “I will eat you.” Smokey and the BanditIn Herbie Rides Again, Herbie is a 1965 VW Beetle instead of a 1963 Beetle in all the other films. The rear and side windows on a 65 Beetle are much larger than the ones seen on a 63 Beetle. However, 63 Beetles were used in the film. B2676 – this is a number plate installed on Castiel’s Pimpmobile. This is the 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V he drives in season 9 of the show. LYN 274 –’67 Mustang Eleanor. It was installed on the Mustang in the 2000 film with Nicolas Cage. Ready Player One
