About this deal

The Orange company is founded by Cliff Cooper. The man himself is an electronics engineer, a bassist, and a guitarist by profession, and his passion for music eventually led him to find the Orange Company in the year 1968.

First of all, and most importantly, there is no effects loop! This is the amp’s biggest limitation, in my opinion. An effects loop would have made this unit totally awesome. I began playing somewhat late compared to a lot of people. I was 15 years old as it had taken me a while to find the confidence to believe in myself and take that step to learn to play an instrument. It started my lifelong love of music and playing in general. Since then like so many before me I've become an addict and gone through more guitars, amps and gear than I care to remember. If you keep the gain extremely low and the volume at around 50%, you will get a reasonably good sound. If you want to get the gain higher, you will notice a soft saturation in the sound, and the volume will also go up. An authentic and unfirm sound is always guaranteed with the Orange Micro Dark. No matter if you are using it with a small-sized speaker or a large speaker cabinet, the sound will always be enough to satisfy a small group of friends as well as a large crowd of fans. You have to pay a bit extra but it’s not a huge difference. Is it worth it? That probably depends on what you need or want. The Micro Terror’s electric guitar amp head line-out is wired in the effects loop, so your sound isn’t degraded as it goes through the guitar amplifier. And since the effects loop (fx loop) comes before your speaker output, you can use it to drive a larger amplifier or a recording console with your wet signal. Listen To This Amp This scaled down cab's 8" speaker delivers a punchy tone and sound that has to be heard to be believed. Like all Orange speaker cabs it is built to last using extremely rugged construction and manufacturing techniques and stands out from the crowd with Orange's legendary basket weave Tolex grill cloth, Orange crest and badge.

For the most part, the construction of this pint-sized amp head is good. The silk-screened metal chassis is one of the hallmarks of the Terror series and gives the users a good sense of familiarity with the company. Aside from it being a bit awkward to have it on your pedal board rather than as a head it’s hard to see how it’s not a winner. You’re getting the sound of the Micro with all the additional features of the Micro Dark. Win-win! Guitar players will sometimes try to expand their skillset by playing other instruments. Many of them set their eyes on the bass given all the […] The Terror Stamp is like a pedal version of the Micro Terror. They managed to retain all the same features of the Micro Terror yet make it even smaller, so small it’ll fit on your pedal board, and added an effects loop and master volume. Just like our full-size amps, we’ve given you a fully-buffered, low-impedance FX Loop. Long cable runs? No Problem. True Bypass pedals? Great. The Terror Stamp fits right into your signal chain without ever compromising sound quality. Not only that, but connecting directly to the FX Return turns this little monster into a 20W power amp for whatever pedals, preamps or modellers you can throw at it – with a headphone output too! CAB SIM HEADPHONE OUTPUT While it is not quite nuclear in terms of high-gain, the Terror Stamp takes gain pedals well, and super-heavy metal tones are only a well-chosen dirt box away. Indeed, used as a pedal platform, the Terror Stamp can take on all kinds of styles. There is an effects loop to the rear of the enclosure.

The first thing to note about these amps is obviously their size. They are significantly smaller than a loaf of bread, and look amusingly small on top of a 2x12 cabinet. It can be tamed though. It doesn’t have a brilliant volume control and the taper could be better. But it’s also not one of those ones where you only have to breathe on it and it goes from barely audible to eardrum bursting levels. Apart from the tiny portable size, another good thing about the Orange Micro Terror is that it is incredibly easy to use. I can guarantee with the display style the Orange company offers you, you can never go wrong while using it. Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. Here is a video on the Micro Terror from Orange, where Doug Doppler demos the amp played clean, with the gain turned up, and with an Analog Man ARDX20 delay pedal.

However, just like many other companies have experienced bankruptcy in their lives, so was the fate of the Orange company as well. With a combo amp, or a combo (in which the speaker unit and the amplifier are one), all you need to do is connect it with a guitar and start your music. Everything feels strong though. I doubt either the cab or head are going to fall apart and even if you treat them fairly badly they’ll probably hold up. I don’t treat my gear with kid gloves and I’ve had no issues with the build quality or durability of them. Orange PPC108 1×8 Speaker Cabinet Features This thirst for a unique logo that rapidly reminds people of the company led Cliff Cooper to name his corporation as the Orange. The body of the Micro Terror is very advanced, with stainless steel casing all over and with high-standard components. You will notice that the sound will echo more and more as you increase the amplifier’s volume, which is why the Micro Terror may not give you the best experience when used with headphones.
