This cream glides on the skin nicely without feeling oily or greasy. Since I do have extra dry skin, I like to use a facial oil or small amount of Vaseline to seal the moisturizer in at night time. If you have oily or combo skin, this moisturizer comes in a lighter version called Honey Drop. I knew it was time to try the Farmacy honey halo cream after hearing great things about Farmacy Beauty. I have very dry skin and I live in a desert climate so rich, hydrating creams are a must. Since the brand described this cream as “ultra-hydrating”, I needed to test it out for myself.An intense moisturizer to replenish dry, distressed skin with lasting hydration to help visibly plump skin and improve the look of fine lines. Since this cream isn’t super glowy, I don’t love using it for makeup prep. Like I said, I love using this cream at nighttime and I wouldn’t necessarily avoid using it for day time use since it doesn’t pill. It just depends on the finish you like your makeup to have as well as your skin type. Trader Joe’s just came out with a NEW beauty product and I could not wait to try it out. I saw it while I was shopping at my Trader Joe’s and it instantly reminded me of the Farmacy Honey Halo! Typically when I’ve used heavier products at night I wake up in the morning and feel this film on top of my skin that I need to wash off immediately. The Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer actually sinks in and I can tell a difference when I wake up in the morning. Just more plump and soft! Has helped a bit with my texture as well. I would say the Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra Hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer works best for me usually as a nighttime moisturizer because of how intense the hydration is. However, I’ve used it during the daytime as well when my skin is especially dry and needs an extra moisture boost and love it then too. Just depends on what my skin needs that day. I received a sample of this Moisturiser and I love it. Not only did it help with all my above issues but my skin has never felt so good. You probably know (well, I hope you know by now!) that I don’t really care if a cosmetic is “clean” or not.
