About this deal

Chocolate oranges appeared on the South Korean market in the GS25 chain of convenience stores in 2017. The shells are quite a bit harder than the original mini eggs. The eggs are bright orange in colour which transferred slightly to the cheesecake turning it into a pastel orange - very fitting for Easter. At 8 syns for four segments, Terry's chocolate orange is very high in syns, taking over half of your daily syn allowance. Who doesn't love mini eggs? Those and many other Cadbury easter eggs are gluten free, if you miss Cadbury caramel bars you may be delighted to know that caramel eggs are gluten free unlike the bars.

But there are other Aero Easter egg variations which are NOT gluten-free. Instead of butter, use Stork hard margarine instead of butter. Lastly, here’s a few ideas you can use as egg replacements, so each of these = 1 egg. Easter Eggs and chocolates that are dairy free I have labelled DAIRY FREE at the beginning of their caption. I will also place these all into a separate post to make it more clear too. When making a chocolate based cheesecake, I melt the chocolate and leave to cool. Then, I mix my cream cheese, icing sugar and flavours (like vanilla, if using), together, and then pour in the melted and cooled chocolate. I tend to find mixing the chocolate in before the cream helps prevent seizing chocolate.

In an airtight container, they should last 7-10 days. When they start getting a little dry, they’re probably past their best. Otherwise, the rest of this recipe mostly involves a lot of folding in, so electric appliances aren’t really required. Can I make your gluten free Easter chocolate orange brownies without any kind of electric mixer/appliance at all? As usual M&S totally out strip everywhere else with their gluten free easter eggs, most are gluten free but odd ones aren't safe - a couple contain "wheat fibre" too this year, I have missed them off the list though they do make a statement on the box about it being gluten free but use your own judgement on that one. I toyed with the idea of adding orange flavouring to the recipe but I'm glad I didn't because the mini eggs are strong enough to flavour the entire cheesecake. No-Bake Deep-Filled Cheesecake

Well, dark chocolate is very low in sugar and high in cocoa butter, whereas milk chocolate is high in sugar and milk and much lower in cocoa butter. You can make the biscuit base chocolate themed for this Easter chocolate orange cheesecake by using 25g cocoa powder in the base. I prefer doing this compared to using a chocolate biscuit as I find the melted butter melted the chocolate and creates a more mushy base! Make sure that all ingredients used don’t have any gluten-containing ingredients. Then make that that they also don’t have a ‘may contain’ warning for gluten, wheat, rye, barley, oats (which aren’t gf), spelt and khorasan wheat (aka Kamut).

For the flavouring of my Easter chocolate orange cheesecake filling I used two terry’s milk chocolate orange’s because they are classic and my favourite, but the dark or white if you can find them work just as well. You can use Cadbury chocolate orange buttons, or milk chocolate with orange extract for example! As I mentioned, most of these are down the seasonal Easter aisle so it can be a literal Easter egg hunt to find the right ones. So make sure you allow yourself enough time to make sure you’ve got the ones pictured which are safe for us to eat.I've used almost exactly the same cheesecake recipe as I did for my Lemon Cheesecake. This base recipe for cheesecake always sets well, is really easy and isn't a faff to make. Beware of some of the vegan eggs that contain gluten free oat milk. Whilst you might see gluten free oat milk and think they are safe, they in fact are actually ‘may contain gluten’ so are still unsafe.

Okay so I caved… I’ve done an easter chocolate orange cheesecake. Why? BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH. But yes, it is basically my chocolate orange cheesecake just with the easter mini eggs on top! It is amazing.I’m very specific in this post when I reference which eggs are gluten-free and safe to eat. So please don’t assume that, just because you’ve seen one egg from a particular brand in this post, that every egg by the same brand is also gluten-free. A standing mixer with the whisk attachment is great for whisking the eggs and sugar until pale, but I prefer to use an electric hand whisk, personally. So these are the same insanely fudgy, gooey, intensely chocolatey brownies that have hopefully been restoring the reputation of the gluten free brownie ever since. I used a small amount of lemon juice because it helps the cheesecake to set, added vanilla extract for flavour and the star ingredient: chocolate orange mini eggs. Terry's Chocolate Orange Mini Eggs Not with the mini eggs in them! Again, because of the dairy in the Terry’s chocolate orange mini eggs, this recipe isn’t vegan as it is. However, you can always substitute the mini eggs for broken-up dairy free chocolate orange bars like these.
