When in Cool Mode on High setting, and with the temperature set as 16, it brought the temperature down by approximately two degree Celsius in a super speedy ten minutes. Overall its lightweight build and compact size make it a great option for smaller homes, and for anyone who lives alone and might struggle to move a larger unit by themselves. Finally, over to the far right you’ll find the all-important Mode button where you have four options: Cool, Dry, Fan and Heat.
It's not entirely managed by us since we are involved with multiple entities, including the factory and the storage. The MeacoCool air conditioners work by drawing in warm humid air from the surrounding environment which then is passed over a cold evaporator coil, where the air is cooled and the moisture is removed. However to make the most of its full capabilities of Cool Mode, it is essential to have a way for the hot air to be expelled outside. The new MeacoCool range is smaller, lighter and more compact in size making it easier to fit within a room and be comfortably moved around.It doesn’t go very low, though, so you won’t feel any air from the fan if you are below the air conditioner unit. The power cable isn’t super long, which can be an issue if your window isn’t located a metre away from the plug point, but it’s easy to extend the hose to a suitable length to compensate. Meaco recommends the MeacoCool MC Series 7000BTU Portable Air Conditioner for use in rooms between 12-22m² whereby it can suck 7000 British Thermal Units of heat from the air per hour and discharge it outside. This is the method I use every time and it’s not only neater but when I’ve finished cooling the room, I simply wheel the unit away and everything is back as it was.
By removing hot and humid air, it reduces relative humidity which helps to keep the environment comfortable - whether it is your home gym, your conservatory, or even your offices. No complaints at all - even after 2 hours running you can feel the difference in the next rooms as well. One of our windows that I tried it on was particularly large, at over 145cm tall, however, there was still more than enough Velcro and the window kit was big enough to do an even bigger window as there was excess left over at either end. Models with the heating function can be used in the winter months to provide warmth and comfort making them great investments that can be used all year long.As mentioned, this unit is also very lightweight compared to most portable air con units we've tested.
