About this deal

Registered office address: Unit 34 Vulcan House Business Centre, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EF. The idea being that after 30 days of handholding through the process, parents would have the confidence to continue weaning more smoothly thereafter. Charlotte is an absolute genius and knows exactly what it’s like to be a parent and these recipes completely reflect busy lifestyles and quick go to favourites. They include some old family favourites from my childhood but also have tonnes of great breakfasts, snack-y options and delicious main meals too. The kids love it and even my husband - who is actually probably one of my biggest critics when it comes to my food, he's never satisfied - loves it.

Little steps on how to make meal times a happy and positive experience and how to shape your children’s eating habits for the rest of their lives. After writing my book and sharing the advice on weaning, I realised that there was another really critical stage that actually got a little less attention online and in books, especially – toddlerhood! Because all we're doing in that case is saying, 'This is the gross stuff that you have to get through and this is the pinnacle that we all want to aim for.

The inspiration for writing this book came when I was right in the thick of it all with my two kids, struggling with day-to-day chores and I’d lost a bit of love for cooking too, finding it so hard to do whilst my baby daughter was unsettled and my son was so desperate for my attention.

And at the moment, you know, you're going to find that very little is going to help because it's really, really, really challenging times. What was important to me was also to have a totally different steer on this book too…this was where I came up with my “30 days of Weaning” plan which is right in the middle of the book. Aim to introduce the main allergens, especially eggs, peanuts and tree nuts (ground or as nut butters), pasteurised dairy foods, fish/seafood and wheat (as long as they are part of your family’s diet) before 12 months of age, one at a time.

I LOVE it, everything about it, and I really think it’ll be a tool to help so many parents feel confident and supported through what can be a super tricky time: feeding kids in those early years!

I'm so grateful to have found her and even luckier to have her guidance and support with both Indie and Marley. This is obviously my third book and throughout all of my books, I really pushed as I didn't just want to make a cookbook because my background is nutrition and feeding kids and family eating. Confidence is everything and this really underpins all the advice I give out in How to Wean Your Baby. It’s very practical with plenty of snippets of advice, graphics to show stand out helpful tips at a glance and taking individuality into account too, of course.

Following the success of her first bestselling book ‘How to Feed Your Baby’, Charlotte Stirling Reed is about to launch her new book ‘How to Feed Your Toddler’.I got busy in my kitchen trialling how to save foods, getting used to menu planning, getting to grips with my fridge and freezer and creating resource that were useful to ME to help me with all of this. I use a lot of frozen veg in the book and I've got a couple of really great recipes that use frozen veggies, like a frittata and pasta.
