There are certain aspects of the story that did not appeal to me and yet overall, I appreciated Lucian and the way in which he was able to overcome.The whole time you're going between this breathtaking (literally) romance and some very dark and mysterious secrets.

Now imagine if that ruthless man is also part of a mysterious collective that aims to explore sadistic tendencies, and isn't afraid to offer his son for experiments.The pacing flowed with the writing and it managed to maintain a balance that made the flow not too fast nor too slow. But as soon as she takes her first step to this haunted place, she realizes her life will never be the same. With mystery and rumor surrounding his family, Lucian operates in the shadows and has secrets to protect. ffs the first time they say they love each other is in the epilogue They had no reason for being together, besides the fact that they found the other attractive. That is, until the sound of the soft melody of a piano and the glimpse of raven hair and an angelic profile.

I'm so impressed with the writing I can't remember a moment where I was bored out of my brains because the writing is so immersive and does an excellent job at keeping me engaged with the story.

In any case, don’t deny yourself a Lucian Blackthorne and make sure to treat yourself to this sinister Beauty and the Beast-esque tale, for I think this is still worth checking out.

It tells the tale of an unlikely romance between a mysterious recluse and the young ingenue that tempts him beyond reason. Even though again disturbing as it was nice to see the MMC Lucian accept his true nature and find love and happiness again ( after the fucking hell he lived/went through). After drafting it, I bought nearly every title on the list, and now I plan to work my way through them.The relationship between Lucian and Isadora started with lust, but it's not even the worst thing anyway, because the worst thing is that Lucian was interested in Isadora mainly because she was young (he is 19, he is 33) and she was a "forbidden fruit". That's because she spent her whole life waiting for the white knight to come and rescue her from the life she so desperately tried to escape.
