In 2022, our Victoriana was further named Best Scotch Whisky 2022 at the Online Scotch Whisky Awards 2022, and further Best No Age Statement Whisky 2022 in the World Spirits Competition.

To mark this first release, we have selected a subtly coastal, floral and delicate unpeated twelve-year-old single malt whisky, and finished it in Palo Cortado sherry casks - a rare choice almost as special as mermaids.Alongside Springbank and Glengyle, it is one of only three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown and draws its water from the nearby Crosshill Loch.

Sweet start and quite fat and though the alcohol gives a little tongue-tingling buzz the result is a good mid-palate weight. Glen Scotia prevailed against the odds where some 30 other local distilleries fell, and today stands proudly among the last of the distilleries in Campbeltown. Glen Scotia single malts are excellent examples of the Campbeltown style, with rich and subtly maritime, with tropical and baked fruit notes and salty finish that set them apart from other Scotch malts. Both tulip-shaped glasses, such as Glencairn glasses, and traditional Copita glasses are excellent choices. This single malt is matured in first fill bourbon casks with a 12 month finish in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.Glen Scotia was born in a place like no other - a small town on the west coast of Scotland that was to become the "Victorian Whisky Capital of the World.
