It transported me to a city I have only briefly visited giving a romantic, glorious, old-world charm picture of Bombay as it was in the yester years and perhaps still is. I did find a few instances where the amount of oil used is a bit excessive for my tastes, but otherwise this book is perfection. I have kept notes and can’t wait to do as much of the walk as possible on my next trip (which I hope will include a night at the Taj)! It is beautifully presented, with historic facts, maps and tales of marvellous people and places that influenced the lovely people at Dishoom.
