About this deal

This is my first Jeffrey Archer read thought I bought Mighthier than the sword first and realised its the 5th of the volume.

In Nothing Ventured, William Warwick begins his career with London's Metropolitan Police Force, moving from his early months on the beat to his first big case with Scotland Yard's Art and Antiques squad.Harry's mother, a hard-working widow, who takes a series of back-breaking jobs to help with Harry's expenses, is harboring a secret about Harry's parentage. Meanwhile, William's father and sister lead the prosecution in the trial of a notorious drug baron, and an old acquaintance reappears in William's wife's life. Sometimes you read a book everyone else seems to loveLoveLOVE and then wonder if you bought the same book everyone else did because as far as you're concerned, it stank. I didn’t press the point with my old man, as I’ve never exactly covered myself in glory in his eyes. As William and the team get closer to bringing the Viper down, Wiliam is faced with an enemy from his past.

You know in fact very early on who the central character's father is, but what keeps you reading is to discover how the author is going to weave together all the details to make an entertaining story that makes sense. But Jeffrey Archer pleased me entirely, because his novels include nearly everything You can possibly want (even fantasy-novels use similar patterns)! The fourth novel in the Clifton Chronicles series begins with Henry and Emma Clifton desperate to learn the fate of their son Sebastian, involved in a horrific car accident. The story is broadly divided into parts, each dedicated to characters who take the story forward from their point of view: Harry, his mother Maisie, Emma Barrington, Hugo Barrington, Giles Barrington and Old Jack Tar. The Clifton Chronicles is Jeffrey Archer's most ambitious work in four decades as an international bestselling author. I have seen books where each section tells the next part of the story, and I have seen books where each section tells the same story from multiple perspectives. The narrator occasionally provides some insight into what the other people currently in the scene are thinking.
