Romans 6:1 Grace justifies believers, making them free of the guilt of sin, blameless, so that they may have eternal life. For ( GT)Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that ( GU)the person who does the commandments shall live by them. 6 But ( GV)the righteousness based on faith says, ( GW)“Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the ( GX)abyss?’” (that is, ( GY)to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? ( GZ)“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9 because, if ( HA)you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and ( HB)believe in your heart ( HC)that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, ( HD)“Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 ( HE)For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; ( HF)for the same Lord is Lord of all, ( HG)bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For ( HH)“everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” God has given us some very clear instructions in His Word as to how we are to live for Him. These include the command to love one another (John 13:34-35), the call to follow Him at the cost of denying our own desires (Matthew 16:24), the exhortation to care for the poor and needy (James 1:27), and the warning to not fall into sinful behaviors like those who don’t know God (1 Thessalonians 5:6-8). Jesus summed up a life lived for God when a teacher of the law asked Him the most important of commandments. Jesus replied, “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:29-31). Romans 8:30 : Rom. 8:28; 9:24; 1 Cor. 1:9; Gal. 1:6, 15; 5:8; Eph. 1:11; 3:11; 2 Thess. 2:14; [Heb. 9:15; 1 Pet. 2:9; 3:9]

Because of the weakness of your human nature, I am using the illustration of slavery to help you understand all this. Previously, you let yourselves be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led ever deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy. In the same way you are to think of yourselves as dead, so far as sin is concerned, but living in fellowship with God through Christ Jesus. Now ( P)if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been ( Q)raised from the dead, [ e]is never to die again; ( R)death no longer is master over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all, but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Even so consider yourselves to be ( S)dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. In the same way you also must regard yourselves as dead in relation to sin, but as alive in relation to God, because you are in Christ Jesus.Prayer: Lord, thank You that You love and care for me. Thank You that I can know Your favour and blessing on my life. I humbly bring my requests to You and ask that You would do miracles, in my life and in my situation. Amen. Romans 6:16 : ver 6, 12, 14, 17, 20; Ge 4:7; Ps 51:5; 119:133; Jn 8:34; Ro 5:21; 7:14, 23, 25; 8:2; 2Pe 2:19 No, in all these things we are more than ( EM)conquerors through ( EN)him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. God's Sovereign Choice

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? ( Z) By no means! 16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey ( AA)—whether you are slaves to sin, ( AB) which leads to death, ( AC) or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God ( AD) that, though you used to be slaves to sin, ( AE) you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching ( AF) that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin ( AG) and have become slaves to righteousness. ( AH) Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live [together] with Him, 9 because we know [the self-evident truth] that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has power over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin [ending its power and paying the sinner’s debt] once and for all; and the life that He lives, He lives to [glorify] God [in unbroken fellowship with Him]. 11 Even so, consider yourselves to be dead to sin [and your relationship to it broken], but alive to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact ( CL)the Spirit of God dwells in you. ( CM)Anyone who does not have ( CN)the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of ( CO)him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus [ j] from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies ( CP)through his Spirit who dwells in you. Heirs with Christ Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law [ i]has dominion over a man as long as he lives? 2 For ( AG)the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. 3 So then ( AH)if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become ( AI)dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should ( AJ)bear fruit to God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law ( AK)were at work in our members ( AL)to bear fruit to death. 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve ( AM)in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. Sin’s Advantage in the LawWhat shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, ( AN)I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, ( AO) “You shall not covet.” 8 But ( AP)sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For ( AQ)apart from the law sin was dead. 9 I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10 And the commandment, ( AR)which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. 12 Therefore ( AS)the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good. Law Cannot Save from Sin What then? ( AA)Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? ( AB)May it never be! 16 Do you not ( AC)know that when you go on presenting yourselves to someone as ( AD)slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of ( AE)sin [ h]leading to death, or of obedience [ i]leading to righteousness? 17 But ( AF)thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you obeyed from the heart that ( AG)pattern of teaching to which you were ( AH)given over, 18 and having been ( AI)freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 ( AJ)I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just ( AK)as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, [ j]leading to further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, [ k]leading to sanctification. S)Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your ( T)members as [ d]instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but ( U)present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For ( V)sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. From Slaves of Sin to Slaves of God What then? Shall we sin ( W)because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that ( X)to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart ( Y)that form of doctrine to which you were [ e]delivered. 18 And ( Z)having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness [ f]for holiness. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, ( AT)sold under sin. 15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. ( AU)For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. 16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. 17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that ( AV)in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. 19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. 20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. Strong's 5547: Anointed One; the Messiah, the Christ. From chrio; Anointed One, i.e. The Messiah, an epithet of Jesus.

Oración: Señor, gracias porque me amas y me cuidas. Gracias porque puedo conocer Tu favor y bendición en mi vida. Humildemente te traigo mis peticiones y te pido que hagas milagros, en mi vida y en mi situación. Amén. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus. What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, ( BC)I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if ( BD)the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, ( BE)seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. ( BF)For apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9 I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10 The very commandment ( BG)that promised life proved to be death to me. 11 For sin, ( BH)seizing an opportunity through the commandment, ( BI)deceived me and through it killed me. 12 So ( BJ)the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

Gebed: Vader, dankie dat U my lief het en vir my sorg. Dankie dat ek U guns en seën in my lewe kan ken. Ek bring my versoeke nederig aan U en vra dat U wonderwerke in my lewe en in my situasie, sal doen. Amen. And the LORD said to Moses, ‘I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.’ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, ( BC)who [ j] do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For ( BD)the law of ( BE)the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from ( BF)the law of sin and death. 3 For ( BG)what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, ( BH)God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who ( BI)do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For ( BJ)those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, ( BK)the things of the Spirit. 6 For ( BL)to be [ k]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because ( BM)the [ l]carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, ( BN)nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 6:23 : ver 16, 21; Ge 2:17; Pr 10:16; Eze 18:4; Ro 1:32; S 5:12; 7:5, 13; 8:6, 13; Gal 6:7, 8; Jas 1:15 Or do you not know, brothers [ d]—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? 2 For ( AS)a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage. [ e] 3 Accordingly, ( AT)she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress. So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For ( BR)I delight in the law of God, ( BS)in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members ( BT)another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from ( BU)this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
