About this deal

Here at HappySelf we are committed to being as eco-friendly as possible, and it is important to us that we use sustainable, recyclable materials where we can. We review this with our production partners regularly. We are still noticing some disruption to postal services in the UK and aboard due to increased volumes and challenging working conditions with staff shortages and the movement of goods around the carrier networks taking longer than expected. Delivery times still remain less predictable and may take longer. Please be patient if your parcel hasn't arrived yet and leave enough time before getting in touch with us. Unfortunately once your parcel is in the postal system there is nothing we can do to speed things up!

All waste paper used during production is recycled, and we use land and sea transportation wherever possible. Plenty of space for different handwriting styles and enough space to draw for those children who prefer to draw their answersThree months is an ideal length as it's similar to a school term and so feels achievable for the children to establish their new daily journaling habit. When testing the kids preferred this length and a longer book would have been too bulky or heavy for small hands. This one is designed with teens and young adults in mind. It follows the same daily journaling format but with a slightly more grown-up feel (ie without our family of characters). It also introduces a weekly structure and emphasis on developing healthy habits. The result is a really simple daily journal that can be completed in less than a few minutes. It is beautifully illustrated and with plenty of variety to keep kids engaged, all the while developing important habits that will set them up for life. I’ve also started a podcast called The Curious Parent to explore the wider topic of the skills children need these days to be world-ready. And over on the blog I write about our own experiences and experiments when it comes to raising our world-ready kids. These were the answers I found to the issues facing my kids and many like them. I’m confident they will help your kids’ too. The HappySelf Journal is a daily journal for children aged 6 to 12, based on scientifically proven methods that promote happiness, develop healthy habits for life and nurture enquiring minds. Beautifully illustrated and easy to use, with just a few minutes focus each day, children benefit by being encouraged to express gratitude, reflect on their emotions and think about their actions.

There is no better time than these early years to lay the foundations for happiness by exploring the positive habits that will help your child for years to come. Our journals bring positive psychology and proven happiness habits into a beautifully illustrated child friendly journal format. Beautifully illustrated and easy to use, with just a few minutes each day, children benefit by being encouraged to express gratitude, reflect on their emotions and think about their actions. We highly recommend you fill out the journal with your child, even acting as scribe if your child is tired or dislikes writing, so that the emphasis can be on the conversation and reflection rather than the act of writing. Many of my clients, myself included, were working on improving their habits and mindsets to achieve balanced, happy lives with better mental health, wellbeing, mindfulness, focus and improved productivity. At the same time, we worked hard at home to improve our digital resilience and reduce our family’s collective time online. I witnessed the impact of daily journaling, reduced screen-time, mindfulness and gratitude practice on my wellbeing and how simple changes to our home life made a big difference to the kids. We have ‘switch-off-weekends’, share our ‘top three things’ at the dinner table and my daughter started journaling as she saw me do it every day.Undated so it doesn’t matter if you skip a day. Start whenever you want and use daily or whatever pattern suits you

The recommended age range is 6 to 12. Depending on your child’s reading and writing abilities they may need some guidance at the younger end of the scale. My kids have been instrumental in helping make the content just right and have been my inspiration all along. So from my family to yours I hope this journal gives your children the foundations for a happy and balanced life. I hope this journal becomes a beautiful way of exploring feelings, memories, kindness and gratitude as well as capturing what life is like for you and your child at this moment in time.” This brings you all the goodness of our Junior edition adapted for you to enjoy with the 3 to 6 year old in your life.

We launched the Grown-Up edition so you could become the ultimate role model for positive habits by journaling alongside your little ones (clue: it starts with you), or simply by taking a few mindful moments for yourself each day.
