About this deal

It was fun learning about Soul Reaping and following Ichigo and Rukia on their adventures whilst they took down hollows. seriously sad stuff in there - dead family members make guest appearances, and I actually found some of the scenes so touching and painful. The storyline is interesting, and I haven't come across any annoying characters yet (which us amazing, in my cranky opinion). Kubo does an excellent job of establishing characters (from the protagonist to his family, friends at school, and non-canonical (alas) future wife, to one-off villains, Kon, and the whole Urahara gang) and their motives in a memorable and interesting way. But his attempts at being average are interrupted by a mysterious man who claims he can help Ichigo regain his powers.

If they lose Part-time student, full-time Soul Reaper, Ichigo is one of the chosen few guardians of the afterlife. And Soul Reapers who would normally wouldn’t have anything to do with each other now fight side by side as Kenpachi and Mayuri take on a truly monstrous Quincy. Ichigo Kurosaki has always been able to see ghosts, but this ability doesn’t change his life nearly as much as his close encounter with Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society.I decided to start from the beginning instead where I left off years ago because I want to refresh myself on what happened since I probably forgot some things and because I just want to experience this series again. And because war brings changes to all, Mayuri’s dutiful daughter Nemu is compelled to act in defiance her father—even if it becomes the last thing she ever does.

Although the comic relief side is not always funny, overall Bleach do appeal to certain group of readers and hence, why it is popular. Grade C = Slightly more "loved", possible loose pages, but still complete enough to display or collect. It's been around 11 years since I've read Bleach, and I've decided to actually try and finish the series this time. Recommend for all manga readers of appropriate age (it does get pretty violent at times) and anyone trying to dip their toes into these kinds of books.Though, this delinquent at heart does tend to find enough trouble of his own… Anyway, everything changes when he meets Rukia — a Soul Reaper and member of the mysterious Soul Society. The art is amazing, too - I especially liked the odd blank page with just a small illustration that peppered the book.
