I was a bit surprised that the book uses mugs to measure, being a slave to the scales myself – but they clearly show the size in a picture and give you the measurement – half a pint. This is quite annoying because, I have often started to prepare a dish only to find that I don’t not have everything required to make it. There are plenty of easy meals to cook and you can increase the size of them if you want to have friends round to eat to practise your new found cooking skills!
