The X-Men hits keep on coming, folks, and I’m only two figures away from finishing off the Wendigo Wave. X-Cutioner is legitimately not a character I ever considered asking for a modern 6” figure of, even though there was a whole 90s X-Men crossover story titled after him. The most high-profile of the four is probably the first 6” Nightcrawler Legends figure since the 2019 Wendigo series. Despite all my paint gripes, this figure is a blast and is inching up on figure of the year territory for me as it’s a great, classic representation of one of my favorite characters with a ton of posing and play options.
Given her significant role in the current era of X-Men comics, I was mortified when the modern Madelyne Pryor figure was lost to fans forever when the Ghost Rider Haslab failed last year. It feels like Hasbro has given us a ton of excellent X-Men figures in a short space of time, and I haven’t even dug into the Apocalypse Wave yet!Nightcrawler now has double-pinless arms and legs, sculpted gloves and boots, plus shading around his eyes on the heads. Recently started collecting x men action figures and what a treat at the very beginning of my collection. I guess my question is Is pinless figures worth getting more than the pinned but with more accessories? With the Marvel Legends Series, both kid and adult Marvel fans and collectors can start a legendary collection of comic- and entertainment-based Marvel characters.
The tail is pre-posed in a snaking fashion, so no bendy plastic here, however it’s sculpted in a way that really makes use of the swivel at the base, allowing for some varied poses. I expected the cheerful head to be my favorite, but in actuality I think the neutral expression works well for pretty much any situation. This is a character that’s never exactly set the world ablaze popularity-wise, but I hope he gains some level of notoriety thanks to the impending Disney+ show. I don’t feel like it’s hyperbole for me to say that Nightcrawler is one of my absolute favorite figures to come out of Legends in a while.With sticky hands, a sharp tail, and piercing yellow eyes, the trouble-making mutant Nightcrawler scales walls and teleports from place to place. For the BAMF effect i just used some purple cotton ball-things i got for 97 cents in the craft section at Walmart. My right “fist” was so tight I had to heat it up to get the sword in it, but with it in it works amazingly. Besides having a noticeably deeper blue for his costume, his various straps are all now permanently affixed so that they don’t incessantly slide down his limbs and drive me into a rage.
