About this deal

Yeah it stinks, but it's preferable to the several bleaching sessions it would have taken to get it all out. But it did reasonable job of getting a couple of years of dye on top of dye on top of dye out of my hair. It won't always take you back to your natural colour, but the lightest you have recently been, probably with lots of warmth. In honesty I feel like I should just say that this product is VERY similar if not the same as Colour B4 max strength with different packaging (But as I do not know for definite if that is the case, I will just say for now they are VERY SIMILAR)!

I'm talking natural dark brown hair that has been dyed dark reddish brown, bluish black, greenish black, and really needed a refreshen up. I recently coloured my hair a dark cherry red- I loved the color but it faded so fast and was getting expensive to maintain. It did remove all the build up of dyes, leaving me with undamaged virgin hair, it was great, it didn't do anything to my purple streaks but I wasn't fussed. So word of warning: if you have thick, long hair like mine and you use two boxes at a time, make sure you use the buffer in BOTH boxes. I followed the directions to the letter and although i have short hair I decided I would do the initial rinse for 15 minutes as I was worried about feedback on the smell of the product.I highly recommend rinsing for way, waaaaaaay longer than the recommended time, if you have a lot of colour build up like I did the colour molecules will re-expand over a short time and you’ll be back to black, I used 3 over the space of a few days and got good results but within a month it looked like I had done nothing to my hair, it was back to really dark brown.

Now I can start again and go the right colour because it’s completely stripped me back to two months ago.Taking less than an hour, this unique formula creates a lighter base which can be effectively and immediately recoloured. Remember to dry your hair before making a decision on whether the colour removing product has worked as wet hair looks a lot darker than dry. Does what it saysI was nervous after all the negative reviews but in desperate need of lifting years of colour build up which had culminated in a very orange brown base with pink highlights.

I think that if I had used a second application of the product then the results would have been even more noticeable on the non-bleached areas. I just used it on my hair and I’ve got rid of about 10 lot’s of hair dye in one go and I’m left with a very close match to my natural hair colour. I’ve been dyeing my hair for about 17 years now, and have had almost every colour under the sun – blonde, pink, purple, brown, red, green, black, you name it! The hairdresser keeps putting me off because of the build up of dark dye, so this just might be the thing to help me get started! This is literally the make or break of the entire process, as the buffer is the vital step that will grab hold of and remove all of the now-broken-down colour particles.

I’ve had better results using Colour B4 Extra Strength in the past and still think its worth paying the extra to try Decolour Remover. As it says in the instructions, the molecules are still present in the hair at this stage, so if you skimp on the rinsing, the old dye won't be washed out - I'd say this is the reason why folk on here are giving bad reviews and claiming it didn't work. Instead of following the instructions, I left it on for 1 hour just to ensure that all the artificial dye molecules have strunk. The Colourless Extra Hair Colour Remover safely does away with unwanted tones and comes in a washable formula for a seamless experience. This remover is applied in two steps: dissolving all artificial pigments from your hair while unifying your natural tone. You’ll have the best results using Developlus dye remover if you’re looking to strip your hair colour with the intention of re-dyeing it afterwards.
