About this deal

The Pro 2 2000 comes with a CrossAction, Sensi UltraThin or 3D White brush head compared to the CrossAction of the Pro 1000. Both offer a 3D cleaning action via the small round brush head, but the Pro 1000 only offers 8,800 oscillations and 20,000 pulsations per minute, compared to the 9,900 and 45,000 of the Pro 2 2000. Whilst the difference exist the impact on your brushing and cleaning results are limited. Not only this, but the toothbrush helps you protect your delicate gums with a proprietary pressure control technology, that reduces brushing speed and alerts you to be gentler if you brush too hard. If you use this 3D cleaning toothbrush on a regular basis you will achieve the best oral health. This toothbrush guarantees comprehensive cleaning by stimulating your gums.

Oral-B iO™ with revolutionary iO™ technology is the latest Oral-B electric toothbrush. After six years of research and over 250 patents, Oral-B iO™ sets the new standard of brushing performance, experience, and design. Experience a deep but uniquely gentle clean with a new frictionless magnetic drive. It directs all energy to the bristles to generate new micro-vibrations. The result is Oral-B’s best ever clean: 6x more effective plaque removal along the gumline for 100% healthier gums in one week.** Please note. Every effort is made to ensure the key differences listed are correct, but these differences are subject to change without notice. Products and the box contents can be changed without notice and different variants can exist. The lower powered mode is ideal for those with inflamed or bleeding gums, or if you find the Daily Clean mode too intense. Our Oral-B cleaning modes article goes into more depth, should you want to know more. Brushing for the full 2 minutes is very important, but just as important, if not more so, is using the right technique. Make sure you learn how to brush your teeth properly — you don’t use an electric brush in the same way you do a manual. The visible pressure sensor will alert you when you are brushing too hard The battery indicator light is not good, especially when compared to the more expensive Oral-B models. It does not give adequate warning before the battery runs out.

The Pro 1000 has a brush motor offering 8,800 oscillations and 20,000 pulsations, compared to the 9,900 oscillations and 40,000 pulsations of the Pro 2 2000. The various additional modes on different price point models (for example, the sensitive mode etc) involve to some extent varying the speed. None of these modes have a more powerful cleaning action than the Daily Clean mode, but do offer other benefits to those users who want or need them. Of course, in the more expensive model ranges, there are also some “connectivity” options, which enable the user to connect their toothbrush to their smart phone or an electronic monitor. The grip on the rear of the Pro 3 3900 handle comes in the form of lots of dimples compared to the ridges on the 2900.From a conversation with the manufacturer, the following points are my understanding (in my own words)……

Electric toothbrushes that are clinically proven to be superior to manual toothbrushes, providing benefits in removing more plaque for cleaner teeth and healthier gums. Oral-B electric toothbrushes remove up to 100% more plaque than a regular manual brush, which is why they are recommended by UK dentists and hygienists. Oral-B electric rechargeable toothbrushes (from Pro 600 model upwards) also whiten teeth starting from day one by removing surface stains. Electric toothbrushes are suitable from ages 3+, with specific kids electric toothbrush models available, and are gentle on gums and suitable for sensitive teeth. Electric rechargeable toothbrushes come with replacement toothbrush heads, which should be replaced every three months. That said, there are a couple of reasons as to why it could be argued that the Smart 4 4000 can clean the teeth better. If you have ever looked at the prices of electric brushes before, you might have realised that the actual selling prices tend to be quite a bit cheaper. It is not overly noisy. I would say it is about average in noise level for an electric toothbrush. Should I go for the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 or Oral-B Pro 2 2000 electric toothbrush?

The Oral-B Pro 650 comes in at a lower price point and thus sacrifices some of the features of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500. The main one for me is the pressure sensor. Pressing too hard with a toothbrush can lead to gum recession and tooth wear. The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 has a pressure sensor that flashes red when you are pressing too hard. This will mean that you will use the brush at just the right pressure. There is no difference in speed/power of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 and Oral-B Pro 650. Is the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 waterproof?

Product features

It gives them the required amount of care and offers good oral hygiene The Oral-b Pro 2000 adapts to your tooth texture. After that, it rotates, oscillates, and pulsates over them to degenerate and get rid of plaque. When the battery indicator light eventually flashes red, the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 is completely out of battery. This means moving to a manual brush to complete your toothbrushing and waiting 5-6 hours for it to charge. Charger Technically at least though, the Pro 3 – 3000 is the superior and arguably ‘better’ toothbrush. However, in practice, the differences are subtle and don’t make the Pro 3 an absolute must buy over the Pro 2. As the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 is a cheaper electric toothbrush, you would expect it to come with fewer features. It is actually surprising how many features Oral-B have fit into this basic electric toothbrush. Styling
