The displays have rounded corners. When measured diagonally as a rectangle, the iPadPro 12.9-inch screen is 12.9inches, the iPadPro 11-inch screen is 11inches, the iPadAir and iPad (10th generation) screens are 10.86inches, and the iPadmini screen is 8.3inches. Actual viewable area is less. Where the iPad mini 2’s 4:3 screen really trumps the competition is when it’s used for web browsing and apps. The squarer Retina display provides more sensible acreage and the 0.9-inch extra actually offers 35% more screen real-estate than other comparable 7-inch tablets in a form factor that isn’t any taller, and only an inch or so wider. Apple chose this size carefully and it shows: it’s just right. If Apple can’t get a Retina (Retina is Apple’s way of saying that the pixels aren’t visible to the naked eye) display on the iPad mini 2 then they will have a problem. One of the main issues with the original iPad mini its low resolution screen. Apple’s refurbished mini 2 has four capacities listed: 16-, 32-, 64- and 128GB. We feel 16GB is little limiting these days, and since the 32GB version can be found for just a little more, we’d say the 32GB model offers the best balance between price and storage space. iPad mini 2 review: Verdict None of the iPads should feel underpowered or look drab, so which you choose will largely fall down to the screen size.
