About this deal

I really enjoyed how the puzzle of his land fit in place with all of the new creations Wesley did, the art of this book was very vivid in color and well executed. It's a great story for kids to teach them to be industrious and curious and not to settle for what everybody else is doing. a.) Orient the reader by establishing a situation and introducing a narrator, characters, or both; organize an event sequence that unfolds naturally.

You must be seated in your desks, ready to learn (bottoms in seat, feet on floor under desk, hands on top of desk, eyes on me), before I line you up. He used his knowledge from school to create a land of his own creation; a place where he could fit in. Spelling Seeds have been designed to complement Writing Roots by providing weekly, contextualised sequences of sessions for the teaching of spelling that include open-ended investigations and opportunities to practise and apply within meaningful and purposeful contexts, linked (where relevant) to other areas of the curriculum and a suggestion of how to extend the investigation into home learning. Bullies often focus on differences, but people all around the world are more alike than they are different. It begins with children creating a shelter for their own civilisation, as a hook to create engagement with the text. Gather a collection of advertising materials – it can be interesting to compare modern adverts with older ones, which can be less subtle and therefore easier to analyse. What Wesley likes is books, and he doesn’t want to pretend to be something he’s not – even when he gets bullied for being different. A good picture book can go straight to children’s hearts, encouraging reflection, stimulating discussion and creating fertile ground for the kind of activities that broaden and deepen their experience of the story.

He’s learned that each civilisation needs a staple food crop, so he decides to sow a garden and start his own - civilization, that is. I hope so, but quite often administrators purchase what they think we'll use rather than what we will use.

It isn’t long before his neighbors and classmates develop more than an idle curiosity about Wesley — and exactly how he is spending his summer vacation.
