About this deal

Exposure range goes over a thousand seconds, and output is 12 bit raw, so I think this camera can indeed be used for our kind of EAA, just like other planetary cameras such as the ASI224 or the ASI290MC have been. To be able to capture nebulae or galaxies, the camera needs to be capable of doing long exposure shots of at least a minimum of 30s. As of this writing the SV305 camera cannot be used with guiding software as it does not use the UVC format, instead having its own driver. Well what can I say the last year with this camera has opened my eyes to so many beautiful wonders in the universe. The guiding camera is a secondary camera used in astrophotography that is attached to a guide scope on top of the primary telescope to help the motorized mount track the object during very long exposures.

hope for Svbony SV305 (IMX290) camera? Is there any hope for Svbony SV305 (IMX290) camera?

While the color IMX290 may not be as good as the IMX385 or IMX294, it's still a Sony BSI sensor, and indeed good enough that ZWO considered it worthy to build a camera (there is an ASI290MC after all). Excited to learn about new things at the time I began exploring the wonderful world of astronomy using a few cheap eyepieces and the SV105 camera to record what I saw in the heavens above. Then select the Activate check box and you will see the flat-field correction immediately applied to the streaming video. i took it out tonight for only the second time Im in Australia, And had some great views of saturn and jupiter, took me a while to find them tho. I found that with the exposure limit and the sensitivity of the OV sensor there were not enough stars for guiding (some times there was none).Like most budget cameras keep in mind the SV105 has a very small field of view due to it's small sensor size.

Great for lunar and planetary shots;share the view of bright planets;the Moon and terrestrial targets;not suitable for deep space imaging. When I tried the SV105 with my guidescope I first used my car as a target on daylight to figure out the focusing distance. What is amazing is how well the SV105 camera works with the Android USB Camera App which I use pretty much use all the time along with several astroprocessing apps (which I will get into later down in the review). When connecting the SV105/205 series camera to Sharpcap, the camera does not need camera driver support. For example, you’ll get crispier pictures of some objects around the first light (dawn) during specific periods of the year.So we have planetary cameras with high FPS and cameras for deep sky imaging capable of doing long exposures.

Motion JPEG by itself has some inherent compression, which means there’s an additional limitation to the limitation of the sensor that comes with the ‘ 105. Once you do, tune your finderscope so that it aims at the same object you see in the computer screen.

If the plasticard diffuser is not used, it may be necessary to employ a neutral density filter to prevent the image from being saturated with light.

Using the SV105 Camera Correctly with AstroDMx - Svbony

It is recommended that you do not add a Focal Reducer, but the first test whether your telescope with SV105 can achieve focus. I did make a review video for the camera, which contains some raw video footage and photos if you wan to check that out below. I looked up the camera on the web and I imagine it is seen by SharpCap as a USB2 webcam type camera which uses drivers available as part of Windows. The Svbony SV105 and SV205 cameras, while intended for planetary astrophotography, can also be used as a guide camera. j'ai fait tous les réglage possibles de la camera et du télescope ma camera svbony sv105 mon télescope c est un celestron delux 80 EQ 80*900.The only problem I have is that every time I conect it, the camera gives me a lot of zoom, even when I try to put the minimum zoom Possible in the software. Not good enough to do high-quality planetary AP if you want to have the option of doing that at 1920x1080 as well. I've owned an IMX224 camera for a year, which is terrific for planetary, but costs almost 5 times as much as the SV105, and I know some amateur astronomers in my country who would be delighted with the results of that SV105 (as modest as they might be).
