Open the windows and doors after the candle extinguishes, and let the greenhouse air out for 24 hours. No chemicals either, most of the time I am growing things year round anyway and don't want chemicals and after many years of not disinfecting my greenhouses, the growth hasn't stopped, there have been no horrors and I get hardly any blight (just a bit at the end of the season in November or December, together with grey mold.

If the greenhouse is an aluminium frame and you use Jeyes fluid to disinfect it, do ensure that you rinse really thoroughly and remove all traces of Jeyes. A couple of years ago I disinfected with Jeyes and failed to rinse sufficiently; a few days later all the framework was covered with a white powdery efflorescence - after I had refilled the greenhouse with pots and seed trays of course!The fact that plants can be left in place during the treatment is either welcome news or suggests that garlic may not be as effective, but I can't find any evidence one way or the other. Main use For control of powdery mildew on many fruit, ornamentals and vegetables and storage rots of bulbs, corms and tubers.I also have a Poly tunnel - I haven't had any issues with it from a bug point of view and I am wondering should I use Sulphur Candles in it?

I use a sulphur candle about end of February when I first start sowing things seriously ind the cold greenhouse. Brand name(s) Rose Clear 2 (Rose Clear 2 has been replaced by a new product Roseclear Ultra with an increased range of uses and different active ingredients).Melted a tea light in a pyrex beaker in the oven and poured in molten wax to just cover the sulphur.

I filled the sprayer and covered the inside getting into all the little nooks and crannys then left it shut up for two days. work just to avoid paying a bit more than a proper sulphur candle which always works at the first lighting and without having to be messed about. Although beeswax sulfur candles are better for the environment than pesticide foggers, they're just as harmful to your lungs and mucous membranes, so gloves, goggles and respirators are mandatory. Although I have used a sulphur candle in the past , since having had cancer , I,m now very wary of this and slug pellets , chemicals and garden potions in general really .Avoid breathing the fumes from a burning sulphur candle as the Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) that is given off will irritate your nose and throat, irritation will also occur on the moist surface of the eye.
