In the confines of this world, the cracks of Alice’s reality reveal little else but broad-strokes ideas of unequal gender roles, as opposed to a more considered analysis of how power might function in Victory Project. She is of course beautiful and young (all the women seem to be in their early 30s) and is repeating the action of wiping a counter and picking up a glass over and over. Men need attractive, selfless, docile young women, and will leave or switch wives to get what they want. In an attempt to get to know her neighbors she soon discovers that the women are too busy waxing floors and ironing clothes to really spend time with her.She wants to sell the house as soon as possible, but he tells her to calm down and that she shouldn’t do anything drastic until he gets home. The movement to take that Disney World animatronic technology which just so happens to have a connection to the men of Stepford and exploit it for the purpose of subjugating their wives into totally compliant sexbots with a fetish for housecleaning directly stems from a fear of losing hold on the patriarchal grip of control over the womenfolk.
