About this deal

Don’t know about you but the new Srixon Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE golf ball sure brings me back to the summer of 1983. You can align the Divide colour line to the target or parallel to the face depending on which one you prefer. So it's not like you can pick it up and re-orient it for your chip shot, to make the two-tone effect work, but during practice it allows you to see how much sidespin or backspin you are generating a little more clearly. With DIVIDE’s unique two-tone cover construction, putting alignment comes easy with a 360° line, while every shot will produce a strobe effect to help show off the speed and direction of spin.

Srixon’s original premium ball, the Z-Star was updated in 2021 and is ideal if finesse around the greens and pinpoint approach shots are your keys to your scores. However unlike all the other Srixon golf balls in the Z-Star range, the Divide is all about the look.

Let DIVIDE’s one-of-a-kind, 360˚ seam line—running around the entire golf ball—help perfect your aim and roll on the greens. When it comes to pitches and chips around the green, DIVIDE’s unique two-tone cover produces a strobe effect while spinning, revealing the speed and direction of spin on each of your shots.

That year, your faithful scribe was a lad of 23, working nights and playing golf days, gaming Spalding Executive irons and MacGregor Tourney persimmons. The newest ball in Srixon’s Z-Star series, the three-piece Diamond is played by Brooks Koepka, and combines the best of Z-Star and XV. Starring our 338 Speed Dimple Pattern (for less drag and more lift); an extra thin, thermoplastic 50/50 urethane cover coated with Spin Skin (for increased friction and greenside spin); and a proprietary, FastLayer Core, which is soft at its center but gradually becomes firm around its edges (for great feel and high ball speed). We worked hard to get Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE right and leaning on that experience made it more straightforward to produce the Z-STAR DIVIDE series.

The Z-Star Divide comes with a 3-piece construction that features a 92 compression FastLayer DG core that gets progressively firmer as you move from the centre to the outer layers. Although I’ve switched to Bridgestone Tour B XS last couple years and absolutely love them, I find the Z-stars very similar. I’ve always been a fan of the SRIZON Z Star and love how easy you can see your greenside spin and roll on the green with the “divide” coloring. It features the same FastLayer Core and 338 Speed Dimple Pattern found on the classic Srixon Q-Star Tour.

Srixon Z-Star Divide Golf Ball 2023 Review | Golf Monthly

Srixon claim there can be a strobe effect on full shots as the colours rotate, but my eyesight must be missing that. The two colour design creates multiple options for aligning the ball towards the target or parallel to the club face. For a company that continues trading with Bridgestone for third and fourth place in the market share game, that’s kind of important.

The Srixon Q-StarDivide balls come in three different colourways to cater for everyone's preferences: Yellow and Orange, Red and Orange and Blue and Orange.

If you have used the free gift then it should be kept and the value will be taken off the balance that will be given back to you. The colours could be just too bright and too contrastingto apply your full concentration throughout the round, which isn't beneficial in competitive conditions.Pay in 3 is a form of credit, may not be suitable for everyone and use may affect your credit score. Used by Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama and 2019 Open Champion Shane Lowry, it’s longer than Z-Star thanks to a reformulated inner core boosts overall resiliency for a faster snap off the clubface for more ball speed and distance. FastLayer technology and the largest core in its class make the ball fast of the face and long off the tee. I don’t use the divide to line it up I put it one color up and when you hit the ball it tumbles straight and if it turns the axis turns making even the subtle breaks clear to the eye. The white and yellow halves of the ball have the colour impregnated into the core and then the two halves are joined together.
