I have no idea how we learned as kids what was safe to eat and what wasn’t but I guess is was just osmosis and I don’t remember anyone dying.We have written a lot about this wonderful wild herb and many recipes including the delicious St George Mushrooms with Wild Sorrel on toast. It’s great for planting in a gap in the veggie garden after early potatoes, broad beans or garlic have been lifted. Sowing extra gives you insurance in case one doesn’t germinate, but the extra seedling will need to be thinned out after it’s about a week old.
