Sam’s love of nature definitely comes across and it’s inspired me to perhaps attempt this myself one day to take in the sights! What strikes me most though, is that no matter how wonderful a job, his single mother accomplished in raising two young boys, his late father has a lot to answer for.I would have probably given this book five stars just because I’m such a huge fan of Sam Heughan but after reading it I’m giving it five stars because it’s so good! It’s not mentioned in the book, but he’s endured years of online abuse, been stalked, received death threats, criticised for the way he looks, all of which has taken a terrible toll on his mental health.

It doesn’t take much for me to realize that perhaps I should apply the same approach to relationships.
