About this deal

Howard Garns created the free puzzle as Number Place in 1979 but died in 1989 before Japanese publisher Nikoli got a hold of it. Killer Sudoku is a fun twist on the classic sudoku for those of you seeking something new and challenging. This way, by applying the “45 rule” we filled two numbers on the empty grid and are off to a good start!

When you think puzzles you think Lovatts – the market leaders in puzzle publishing throughout Australia and New Zealand. You’ll receive the latest news, events and offers from Saga, our associated brands and carefully chosen partners. Note: we're still tuning up the gameplay so if you feel something's wrong or would like some feature added, just let us know. The name Sudoku comes from Japan and consists of the Japanese characters Su (meaning ‘number’) and Doku (meaning ‘single’) however, the famous puzzle apparently was not invented in Japan. In Killer Sudoku there’s a new concept of a “cage” – a group of cells within a dotted line that make up a sum shown as a small number above. Don’t repeat the same number within a row, column, 3x3 block or “a cage”, indicated by a dotted line. Here you can save the puzzle currently displayed in the grid in the database area reserved for your username.

Despite a handful of issues recently we’re working very hard to bring you a great puzzle experience. Sudoku is a number puzzle that will get you hooked, may train your brain, develop logical thinking and help you to relax after a hard day.

If you play Sudoku on a daily basis, you will start to discover that you have a sort of sense memory for the puzzle grid. For instance, if you see a two-cell cage equal to 10, with 6 already in place – be sure the other one is 4. Easy Killer Sudoku is a great gateway puzzle for those of you unfamiliar with the number games but curious where to get started. Make sure the sum of numbers in each cage is equal to the number in the upper left corner of the cage. An online game of logic, Sudoku doesn’t require any calculation nor special math skills; all that is needed are brains and concentration.

Daily Killer Sudoku sessions are said to help you train your brain, improve memory, concentration and logical thinking. The game didn’t really take off until 2004 though, when Wayne Gould convinced The Times in London to publish it. This hardest Sudoku puzzle is characterized by the fact that only a few numbers are shown in the Sudoku square, which consists of 9 small squares, where the cells are located 3x3. When you have correctly completed a line, column or a 3 x 3 box it will be highlighted and any practice numbers will disappear. If you play Sudoku daily, you will soon start to see improvements in your concentration and overall brain power. In many cases, you will find numbers that can only be placed in one position considering the other numbers that are already in its row, column, and 3×3 grid.

You will soon become an expert in Sudoku practicing regular and you can easily and quickly cope even with the hardest Sudoku. The correction function is also very useful, since due to the high level of complexity, it is necessary to make corrections more often. Learning how to play Sudoku presents a lot of unique challenges, but you will learn faster if you can avoid some of these common things that beginner Sudoku players get wrong. As we know from the rules, each block, row or column shall contain all numbers from 1 to 9, making it 45 in total. I understand that it is a free app, however, a game should be able to play through at least a minute or two without stopping for an ad.
