I will say I did appreciate learning more about the deaf community, especially how characters like Niko are portrayed as well-rounded. This story was way more Mills n Boon than I usually read, but I've never read AMBW romance before so I thought I'd give it a shot. I also feel like this book had so much potential to be wholesome and sweet but the consistent negativity from so many characters made this such a painful read. I was born and raised in the West Indies, which means I grew up swimming in the Caribbean Sea and I like my food seasoned to the heavens.
