About this deal

The soundstage fills your room; the strings and horn arrangements are sharp, the percussion is well presented and vocals are clear. Over the last few months he has disarmed packed rooms of rowdy concert goers, leaving them silent as they hold fast to every syllable sung.

In my humble opinion, "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" is without doubt the stand-out track on this album. The "Title Track" should have started the album to me, but as with most of his albums, I am not mad that, "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" got the job.Jacksons developing skills and charisma made this record both a smash hit and a record which continues to entertain and overwhelm even after thirty decades have passed since the original recording date. Other than Mike's vocals, this is nothing but a Brothers Johnson/Heatwave LP (if you check the credits) that Quincy out together.

Get On The Floor" is also a THUMPIN' joint written by "Rod Temperton" from "Heatwave", with bass line courtesy of "Louis Johnson" from "The Brothers Johnson". I don't believe that "Working Day And Night" was a single, but it didn't matter, because it got MASSIVE airplay. I was not a diehard fan during the time, I was a Rock and Metal collector but I believe if you love music and entertainment you have to appreciate his gift. Over its 40 years in business, PIAS has grown to be one of the largest independently-owned music groups in the world, carving out its own in-house recorded music division PIAS [Recordings].I noticed that on the Rock with you music, in the chorus, you won't have this snap, a kind of snare drum that you hear in the other more recent versions. His full length debut on Daptone Records is equal parts raw feeling and elegance and exudes confidence and charm. Given the pace of Michael Jackson's post- Thriller release schedule, it's striking that Off The Wall appeared between two albums with his brothers, Destiny (1978) and Triumph (1980), on which the twenty something phenomenon was also fully engaged. However looking at who's playing on the album I think this could so easily have been a Patti Austin or Siedah Garrett album.
