It will be more than than just a Laptop Shelf or Utility Shelf yet Version 3 will be thinner, lighter and more compact. I have seen the plastic cutting boards like mine, bigger than my dimension but still about same thickness and light weight. Or, do you think there may be an issue with magnetic attraction to the surface due to the additional leverage from the longer board? The Fifth and final one turned out excellent and I really would like to make one for myself but didn’t because Version 2 is superior and easier to make. On subsequent models I used the same two cutting boards but instead of one 12” hinge I used two Everbilt 2-1/2” x 1-9/16” Hinges (any similar hinge will work).
