About this deal

I love the detail of some of the fish wearing clothes and some of the other creature not wearing anything. At the end of the book, Clark learns when it is the right time to do what we want as well as the right place to do what we wants. What I did not like about this book, however, was the weird slant rhyme that played such a large roll in the book. We use Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and Twitter to display / embed relevant feeds on various pages throughout the site. They seemed to bring their fear on themselves by telling ghost stories and then were surprised when they were frightened.

As they start to tell each other spooky stories, though, all of them become a bit frightened and discover none of them are immune to fear. They loved guessing what would happen next, and sharing their own stories about sleepovers and how to overcome fears. Clark the Shark" has brightly colored watercolor illustrations that depict a shark's struggle with being himself while at school. As for the text-to-teaching connection, the author does a good job of providing a lesson on how to behave in school.Henry Newman from Clore Tikva Primary School, in Ilford, co-wrote ‘Lark the Shark’ with his mum Natalie, after being inspired by his school homework about pollution. When his teacher realized Clark was upset, she approached him and reminded him, "There's a time and place for everything. Students should be able to share their feelings, or emotions, as long as they do it in a non-disruptive way. I would recommend this book to young readers, especially those that may be having trouble behaving in school. For Clark the Shark he has a real problem with boundaries and knowing when to curb his enthusiasm a bit.

The teacher shows Clark a better way to enjoy what he likes while also keeping his excitement under control. While not entirely original, readers who are afraid of the dark might find comfort that a shark could have the same kinds of worries. Clark the Shark is having a sleepover, and it's the first time him and his friends will sleep outside in the dark. A second activity with this book would be a writing activity in which the students make their own rhymes about things they feel are important. This story teaches children not to make fun of friends who have different views on things, but instead to support them and help them through any challenges that they face.

It is not a normal thing for a shark to go to school or wear clothes, however, the creative use of personification and the idea of putting the animals in a school setting, makes it relatable to younger children who attend class. I liked the book, and the message was excellent as it taught kids that being happy is not a bad thing just keeping it cool is the way you have to do it. Clark comes up with fun and easy rhymes to help him remember how to stay cool and not disrupt anyone else. They have good intentions, but it can often be hard for some children to stay on task and do what is expected of them.Henry was just 7 years old when he and his mum wrote their first book – you can read our review of the first book here. Lark the Shark’s adventures continue with a morning litter cleaning of the sea, when Lark spots a strange shadow on the sea floor. It turns out to not be such a good idea because now they are all frightened and scared of the monsters from their stories. I gave this book rating a 4 because l think it over all is a good book, and it teaches you a lesson and not all books do that, so l thinks that the lesson l learned was that you might be really excited about it things and love things so much, but even though things might seem exciting, try to remember to stay cool 😎. The moral of the story is, that you can enjoy things but you must show consideration towards others and their feelings.
