I got the impression that it wasn't particularly interested in making the world function as a real place either – just that it was on screen was enough. Taking the place of Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is Zegler's Lucy. The film will explore the early days of the Hunger Games and delve into the budding romance between Snow and Lucy, ultimately showing Snow's transformation into a ruthless dictator.
