Heaving a sigh of relief, I felt like this was a cosmic reminder to revisit Glenfarclas, which I so often pass up in favor of a shiny new original bottling or a quirky independently-bottled single cask.

Like I mentioned above, it is suggested that the liquid in my bottling and recent releases of the 105 is aged for around 8 – 10 years.The marshmallow note is uncanny and overpowers the rest of the dram at points, but overall this regains its footing, albeit with a somewhat abbreviated finish. The single cask Highland single malt whisky matured in a sherry butt, and was bottled in July 2022, with an outturn of 567. Taste Fruity and spicy/spirity, dried fruits, raisin, bramble, dried apple and mango, slightly leathery, plenty of cinnamon fizz, tannic oak and freshly grated nutmeg.
