His comics have delighted children for over 15 years, in the pages of national institutions such as The Dandy, The Beano, The DFC and The Phoenix.So therefore Captain Underpants is a must read for fans of Dog Man as it has all of the same brilliant building blocks that make Dog Man so readable. Elys Dolan is a huge family favourite so her first illustrated chapter book is a must for this list. This is the book that I always point people to who think that graphic novels cannot show emotions in the same way that a written novel can.

So, when I made the Chaffys not that long ago, I mentioned that Felix liked to play ‘Find Chaffy’ with them. The titles are centred around Max, who moves to an island full of animals, where he meets a special creature named Chaffy, who is lost. Apologies for not posting last week, with lockdown easing I decided to do a trip up North to see the family (socially distant, of course) and then Greater Manchester went into lockdown while I was there and…yeah…fun times.Skunky wants to TAKE OVER THE WOODS, and he's got his inventions to help him - like the OCTO-BOSH and the PIG CANNON! You’ll notice in the photo that only nine of the ten Chaffys are present, and a little set of fingers, this is because Inkling has taken a shine to them, especially the dinosaur one, and kept photo bombing and stealing them, this was the best of a bad bunch! Back in July 2017, Chaffy was born as a Kickstarter campaign and WE BACKed it as we fell in love ever since we laid eyes on it.
