About this deal

Considering the age range of our group was between 9 - 81yrs finding a restaurant that can cover everyone’s needs was brilliant. We are open 7-days a week over the Christmas holiday period (Week Commencing 12th December for 4 weeks). Wadworth the independent family brewer based in Devizes, Wiltshire has given its popular seasonal ale, Farmer’s Glory a whole new look.

Another Cox cross, bred in the 1960's to offer some its parent's complex flavour with better disease resistance. Known to do well in Northern gardens, an attractive apple (as the name suggests), red/orange over yellow. Their bushes are above waist height, planted into the ground, and mulched with sphagnum moss for weed suppression and moisture retention. The photo below shows these really sweet ‘black’ gooseberries, another successful lifestyle orcharding experiment at my friend Rob Warman’s place.I've just come back from Afghanistan to look forward to a nice cold pint at the farmers, only to find its changed hands and the new policy by the landlady is that people are not allowed to go in their just for a beer and even though we had already been served we were asked if we wanted to carry on having a drink we must vacant the premises and drink outside. Anarkali Indian restaurant Haslingden is a hidden gem, and is one of Lancashire’s premier Indian restaurants which is loved by Indian food lovers from far and wide. The main disadvantage of these plants is that they are very thorny, similar in shape and pointedness to the native matagouri or ‘wild Irishman’ scrub so you will get many a punctured finger trimming twigs and opening up the bushes with secateurs. It was a really lovely atmosphere too, they had a number of settings so tables weren't piled in next to each other, it was really well planned.

This kind of pruning is a good idea though for helping the fruit to bask in those valuable sugar-yielding solar rays. Well known and deservedly popular early apple, which in our experience is very reliable and recommended for Cumbria and similar climates.Overall, probably the best choice for a Cumbrian orsimilarly 'challenging' location - produces reliable crops of healthy fruit, very little affected by scab. Delegates also enjoyed sessions by Richard Maryniak and Wojtek Behnke, of the Aqualate Estate, near Newport, which includes a Site of Special Scientific Interest. These very typical New Zealand fruit were inherited from our British settler past and they thrive on the West Coast, especially if you have the canny, green-fingered talents of a retiree and treat them with the attention they crave.

By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Like currants, they thrive in high latitudes and cold arctic climates – I know they grow very well in northern Scotland – which would suggest they will do better the further south you go in New Zealand . After we went to the cosy bar area where I was treated to a nice cognac and a bottle of amazing Prosecco as a farewell gift from the staff! Mild wear and bumping to spine, board edges and corners, with scuffing, staining and marking to boards. That knowledge sharing will be critical, and we hope that this group of learners will go on to continue disseminating what they gain here even further through the industry.

Our bucks fizz was brought to the table and you could "grab" a canape from a fleeting waitress as she went by with a tray. Course director Simon Thelwell said: “The transition to more sustainable food production is a significant change for many farmers, so understanding these issues, identifying the opportunities they present and being prepared to make changes is the key focus of the course and we’re delighted to welcome our learners from across the industry and across the UK. Apparently word is getting round they had a full house on Saturday night and had to turn fourteen punters away! Founded by Henry A Wadworth, the business passed to his founding partner John Smith Bartholomew and is now in the fourth-generation of ownership by the Bartholomew family. For dessert we had toffee apple brioche, a kind of apple based bread and butter pudding with cream this was exceptionally good, all rounded off with fresh coffee.
