So we can safely admit that this useless relationship dragged Julian’s character in the mud and made him unbearable. The really disappointing thing is that I would’ve loved all of this stuff if she wasn’t more and more just using everyone as a pawn to bolster one character.

I get that there are a lot of people who only read the Daisy Haites books but for those who read the whole series it felt like reading the same thing again. I’ve never felt like this and it’s now, right now, this exact second that I realise I am in love with Daisy Haites. Two stars for Daisy and Christian but even that fell short to me because they were side characters in their own book.But perhaps if Christian and Daisy's time wasn’t already limited because of Julian and Magnolia, it may have been less tiresome. But when her safety is threatened once again, she finds herself back under the watchful eyes of her gang-lord brother, Julian, and her ex-boyfriend, Christian, both desperate to keep her safe. at this point i’m pretty sure jessa isn’t capable of writing a story that doesn’t revolve around magnolia.

I want to start by saying I have been reading this series since early 2022, and I have recommended it to many people. I know that some love is beautiful, and some is freeing, some unravels you, some love poisons you, some blinds you, some betters you, and some loves break you in invisible ways that no one else knows about until you have to stand up and the weight of your love crushes your bones.Daisy Haites is my favorite character of ALL TIME she deserves the spotlight in her own freaking book. If you’re the one making the first move towards reconciliation, you sort of have to just stand there and see if their head pops up over the other side of the fence, see if they’ll toss the ball back. Christian reading that book because he wanted to be able to discuss Daisy's interests with her>>> Literally zero complaints. I honestly came into this book expecting to rag on him like I do for the previous books, but I had very few complaints. but for fuck's sake it's not believable that every single man in the world falls in love with her C'MON NOW.
