I loved seeing Pom Pom and Gemelli bonding over their shared love of science, and it was kind of nice to see that even the oh-so-serious Major Meowser wasn’t infallible. Repair systems, extinguish fires, arm the torpedoes, avoid deadly solar flares, destroy your friends and clone them back again; it's all in the life of a Catastronaut!

This installment focuses not only on the CatStronauts but on the crew that's looking out for them on Earth at their station. Overall, though, the illustrations are fun and the narrative is filled with action, if a bit too 'punny' for my taste. I really want it to be better, because these books are cute and fun and there's no reason we also can't sneak a little credible science into them for younger readers. But someone has to go up there to set it up, and that adventure falls to the CatStronauts, the best space cats on the planet!

What follows is a fun chaotic race to be the first and I loved that we met more couples/more space agencies. I know it gives the one cat (already forgot her name) the motivation to be a leader but I think the whole fair thing should have been cut.It proves way to much for even a robot to do alone and Cat-Stro-Bot decides to join the world's best scientist on vacation. In this full-color graphic novel, debut author illustrator Drew Brockington pushes CatStronauts team further than ever, adding in mounds of experiments, teamwork, and tuna fish by the ton! The CosmoCats were definitely Russian, and the COOKIE mission (quick and inexpensive) appeared to be Indian. A great book for kids to practice making predictions with as there is some foreshadowing and a setup for everything to go wrong. I think the messages here are don't try to do everything yourself and don't be afraid to ask for help.
