About this deal

I don't own or have heard either of the two, but if I were you I would pick the a03, or better the a07 or the a08, both also from aiyima.

Class D" is a relatively new amplification strategy that relies on electronic switches to do most of the work and consequently can acheive much higher efficiency than the previously dominant "AB" class. If you listen only to analog sources or have your own DAC, the highly rated Aiyima A07 power (non-integrated) amplifier may be a better bet.

I have used it both as a standalone amplifier, but also as a DAC/AMP using the USB cable provided by the company.

After hours and weekends I run between 10-15 on the display and fills the office with amazing sound. The company did not try to include features they couldn’t pull off well, so what they included is actually qualitative. The recommended speaker impedance is 4-8 OHMs, and it has a power of 150W in 4 OHMs, with a 6% THD+N at maximum. In all honesty, I prefer the sonic signature when using it as a DAC/AMP, and most DACs won’t improve the sound too much, since the unit has some internal processing happening, so I would recommend using optical, USB and Bluetooth above the analogue RCA input.

phono/headphone-out from a cheap Sony CD / radio (that sounds great on phones but has poor speakers) into the amp. We have a really industrial looking amplifier, with a larger face plate, a control wheel that controls the volume, and two buttons at the front. You're going to plug the analog output of a DAC cable into the analog output of your pre-amp to connect it to . Of course, then you'd need to change up if you ever wanted to add surrounds / centre, but I mention it as an option.I already have and like the Aiyima A8 with the MA1270 chip which i can pair with a Topping E30 or E50 or any DAC at some point too if i get tired of the 'tube sound' with the T8. I’ve heard considerably worse background noise from Taga Harmony Amplifiers, such as HTA800, which is just unbearable even at medium volumes. Je le branche en bonne et du forme , avec mes Eltax monitor 3 , puis mes colonnes maison, sur l' entrée optique , et la je suis tout simplement bluffé !

If you have an active sub, D03 has a richer set of features, including a much better USB input, better bluetooth, and is more recommended. It was much easier to understand what people were saying (I tried sitting closer to the TV so see if there's a difference and there wasn't much).NB 0 pour les câbles CANARE 4S11, fiches bananes obligatoires car tout ne rentrera pas et ne tiendra pas derrière l'intégré. But I have noticed the BT connection would drop briefly cause skipping even with the phone 5ft away. The subwoofer connected to the designated RCA port on the D03 and had its crossover dialed all the way down to 50 Hz. Or you could take my word for it and accept that the D03 has more than enough power to drive most bookshelf speakers deep into hearing damage territory. I have it connected to Totem Dream Catcher bookshelf speakers and have paired it with Polk Audio Blackstone TL1 and powered Jbl Sub.
