There was the occasional unexpected twist or turn that held my interest and sucked me back then, but then the boredom would occur again. At one point I did wonder if she herself was engaged in some kind of convoluted alliance with Lovelock. And there was also a part where she just wanted to end it all because she saw no way out, she wanted to overdose. I am, however, pretty sure that Marlowe’s dilemma did not introduce a Russian mafioso element, CCTV or burner phones into the story! Exciting, thrilling, totally engrossing this fast paced, twisty turny thriller is guaranteed to keep your attention and I absolutely LOVED the ending, my eyes felt like they were holding their breath and didn't want to blink!They work in the same university but Sarah’s contract isn’t permanent yet and the only obstacle to her contract is Alan. Sarah, recently separated from her husband, is juggling raising two kids and her workload as a university professor. Due to a random incident, Sarah is given a chance to make a difference in her life, to get out from under this tyrant but it goes against everything that is right. A lecturer at a top university, Sarah loves her job inspiring young people and she’s built a comfortable home for her family.

I mean yeah, pretty much every one hated him but it’s too smooth and this book is a lot of things except that. If you think you can handle a book dealing with the topic of sexual harassment and you enjoyed the author's previous novel, you should give this one a look. Caught in a bad situation and tired of the harassment she decides it’s time to take matters into her own hands but weighs out the war with the consequences.After Sarah comes to the rescue of a small child, the parent is so grateful, he tells her he is willing to take care of anyone who might be giving her problems.

I’ve loved all of this author’s books that I have read by him so far but this might just have pipped the others in becoming my most favourite. TM Logan will welcome a new army of fans with his brilliant second book' Phoebe Morgan, author of THE DOLL HOUSE. I've given this book the same rating as the author's last book but I do think this one ended up being a smidge better. People in the crowd tell Mr Floyd to get into the police car and he replies “I can’t, I can’t move”.The man is a snake whose sordid reputation is so well-known among women co-workers that they've developed a list of rules for surviving his unwanted advances. Logan's thrillers have sold more than 750,000 copies in the UK and are published in 18 countries around the world. The novel runs out of steam and becomes somewhat repetitive into the close and the last third limps along only for an out of character denouement to usher in a very abrupt and unconvincing resolution, doing a disservice to readers.
