About this deal

The mics also contribute to the similarity of these two headphones’ features. When not in use, you can easily swing the mic upward. When you raise the mic, a mute function is automatically triggered.

The Game Ones are a bit of an awkward pair of headphones. They have plenty of merits, with attention to detail in comfort, decent sound quality and plenty of features. However, they don’t fit the mold of what should be expected from gaming headphones. It’s certainly not bad, just something that should be considered. Sennheiser Game Zero The EPOS GTW 70 Hybrid wireless gaming earbuds focus on offering a high-end audio experience for Switch and mobile gaming. The biggest difference between these two pairs of headphones is how they’re built. While the color choices and general aesthetic carry over from the little brother, the Game Zeros are much more rigid in their build quality. A quibble I have with the mic is that it’s not detachable, so you have to be prepared to look like a newscaster when you’re not gaming. I understand that the Game Zero is primarily meant for gaming purposes, but it would’ve been great if the mic wasn’t so firmly affixed, strictly reserving the device for its major function. It’s also pretty large and very obvious, even when retracted. Had it been subtle, I probably could have considered using the headset elsewhere, but the way it is tightly bolted limits its utility to a great extent. The GSP 300 headset is a great starting point for those looking to get into Sennheiser gaming headsets - but one that can also stand in its own right given the quality, and value in particular, that it offers. As I said in my review, "getting a Sennheiser-quality headset like this, at this price point, and with this device-versatility, is an excellent proposition and one that is easy to recommend". Sennheiser compensated for the soundscape’s breadth by introducing a dip in Game One’s mid frequencies. This prevents the speech and other mid-frequency elements from sounding excessively narrow.

Unfortunately, there is little to no difference in sound quality. The Game Ones and Game Zeros are likely built using the exact same internals and, if there’s a difference between the two in terms of sound, I certainly can’t tell. Similarly, both pairs of headphones models come with interchangeable cables; a TRRS braided cable or two TRS cables. The TRRS connection is used with more modern laptops that feature a single integrated audio port that functions as both a microphone and headphones. It’s also useful if you’re using this headphone in conjunction with your phone. Yet, for gaming, both the Sennheiser Game One and the Game Zero make excellent headphones for the money. Since most gamers play for extended periods, high frequencies can cause ear fatigue. As a result, lower high-frequency levels result in less ear fatigue when playing for longer sessions. Compatibility is also quite similar between these gaming headphones. Both are compatible with any computer or gaming console with a TRS or TRRS port. Additionally, they are both plug-and-play, which means they do not require any additional software or drivers to work. Both the Sennheiser Game Zero and Game One earcups feature a volume knob. This greatly simplifies the control of your game sound. To adjust the volume while playing a game, simply turn the knob on the earcup.

The collapsible nature of Game Zero is quite impressive. With its swiveling earcups, you can almost flatten it. On the other hand, the Sennheiser Game One is not as flexible; you can only adjust the width of the headband by sliding the earcups in and out.

This is an exceptionally light model for the spec - just 322g. As such, it’s not carrying the timber most high-end headsets do. You’ll find no needless brushed steel accents here. Just lightweight plastics and soft cloth cushions around an aluminium band. Neat features like the detachable mic and its swappable magnetised cover do impress, and this is good wireless headset money. The intended wider soundstage is better capitalized on here. Instead of losing sound, the seal traps what you want to hear in and carries some ambient noise in through the intended channel. It works much better for these headphones, and I’m glad the change is here.In terms of earcups, Game One features plush velvet earcups that wrap comfortably around your ears. These oval-shaped earcups make listening to music for extended periods of time more comfortable, as they do not press against your ears. and, thus, ideal for extended hours of gameplay as well. EPOS achieved the perfect balance in terms of the device’s Tough one, right? Let me start by saying that both the Sennheiser Game One and Game Zero have quite a number of similarities and both are great for gaming. Ultimately, it comes down to three things: All in, the fact remains that the GSP 670 is one of the best Sennheiser gaming headsets - and a seriously excellent gaming headset, period.
